2015 Toyota Avalon

Driver's seat in the Avalon is truly terrible. I mean awful in every way. It's really really really bad and needs to be updated ASAP. It almost killed the sale for me, but everything else was pretty decent about the car in that price point; however, I test drove literally every car in that segment and the Avalon driver's seat was far and away and standout worst by a wide margin. There's no lateral support on the back or on the bottom and the seat is very large so without the lateral support (especially on the bottom) you slide all over the seat when turning. Also, the padding is really thin and there's a crossbar right through the middle of the seat which you can feel when sitting. After prolonged time in the seat it gets annoying. Very disappointing in an otherwise great car.

Many times my driver's door will not lock with my finger. Also, once when I tried to get the actual key out of the container I could not extract it.

Needs a bigger roomier trunk, very disappointed in the new Avalon's trunk space.

Sound system is poor. Disappointed readout screen temperature, etc hard to read

My vehicle interior is off-gassing and makes me very sick. I will probably have to trade the car.

The Avalon is missing the power tilt/telescopic steering wheel. The manual adjustment steering wheel in the Avalon should be unacceptable.

The key on the fob can be used if the fob battery fails to open the Avalon's door, but cannot be used to start the car. That seems to be a flaw. My purchase experience was as good as could be desired.

The Avalon is a Lexus in disguise.

I was disappointed that I had to buy an aftermarket rearview mirror so I could have Compass, this should be standard. Disappointed that car does not have automatic adjustments for person one or person two. I am short and my husband is tall so we are constantly adjusting mirrors and seat. Should include the same adjustable seat for passenger, I can nearly see over dashboard would be nice to be able to raise seat as I do when I drive

My first Avalon had a transmission problem. This Toyota fan is loud and you have to turn it off to talk on the phone.
