So far, I find the Subaru to be very well designed and the WRX provides an extraordinarily satisfying driving experience, with immediate responses and great road feel at a reasonable price--exactly matching what I wanted.

Power levels should be a little higher for a 2015 MY.

A lot of my buying motivation was due to the niche market for WRX. It has a no-nonsense, practical yet high-performance quality, it's aggressive but not over the top.

I have wanted a WRX for a long time, and I am extremely happy that I finally have one. Subaru definitely delivered with this year's WRX.

After test driving and comparing more than six vehicles, the Subaru WRX is hands down the best performer in its class. Other brands offer more interior options, sometimes with higher quality materials; however, there is a significant lack in innovative, practical functionality. The WRX is for people who like to drive, everywhere. Customization options and upgrades are easily attained after the fact, the most important things are performance and reliability.

The Subaru WRX is mechanically sound, but the place where people spend the most time: the cabin, is atrocious. The back up camera is smaller than my cell phone, and has the resolution of a Nintendo 64. The ceiling and sunroof is covered with cardboard made of the same material my old boss used to use to ship breakfast bagels. The plastic on the dashboard is just as sturdy as orange juice jugs. The interior is horrible and extremely cheap. The accessories I ordered, all were disappointing. The short throw shifter was barely any shorter. I let my friend with a regular WRX shifter drive my car for a week and he couldn't tell the difference. The rear bumper applique doesn't cover the whole bumper, and the center arm rest is so far back from the seat you have to be at least 6 feet 1 inch for your arm to reach comfortably. My family owned a Toyota Previa for 21 years, we park it in near our basketball hoop. Throughout the years, boys have been playing on that hoop, and many times ran into the Previa or the ball hit the Previa. Aside from numerous scratches, nothing ever broke. I've had my WRX for 6 months, and a ball hit the back bumper and completely shattered the back light, that makes me wonder, is the material on my 21-year-old Toyota better than my 1-year-old Subaru? All that said, I still purchased the WRX, I lived in snowy areas and the AWD is appealing, and the new 6pd is a drastic change from the old 5spd. I would have purchased a WRX with much less hesitation if there was a hatch version, I also speak for friend whom we purchased our WRXs together. Both of us wanted hatches, he almost got the GTI and I the ST. I hope settling for Subaru was not a poor choice. It's great on snowy days, but any day that the road is clear and I start looking around the interior and start touching things I'm reminded how cheap and outdated the interior is. People say that this interior is much improved from previous WRX models, well I say as a 1993 Toyota, 2000 BMW, 2010 Honda driver, this 2015 Subaru WRX interior sucks. Also, I truly believe is Subaru just provided better quality interior, the cabin noise wouldn't be so bad. In my Honda, when you close the sun roof cover you can hear the sound difference. In my WRX, I could probably get better noise reduction leaving my sun roof cover open and put my 8 year old's hello kitty clip board on the glass, seeing as that is thick and harder the Subaru's cover.

I love the new car but hate the turbo lag. Wish Subaru would use dual turbos to reduce turbo lag.
