Porsche positions the Macan as a compact SUV that puts driving feel first. Its core appeal is sports-car-like steering response, strong turbocharged engines, and a driver-focused cabin, wrapped in a smaller and easier-to-park package than the Cayenne. The Macan stands out in its class by prioritizing road manners and performance while still offering five-passenger seating, a liftgate, and everyday usefulness.

The 2015 Macan was positioned as a compact SUV with the road manners and driver-focused cabin of a Porsche sports car. The Macan S uses a 340-hp 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, while the top Macan Turbo has a 400-hp 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6, adaptive suspension, leather cabin trim, and 18-way power sport seats.

“I traded a Volvo xc60 r design for the Porsche Macan S. I liked the safety features on the Volvo much better especially the lane assist. The Porsche waits too long to notify you of someone in your other lane. I really cannot depend on it.”

“Our Macan S basically exceeded our expectations and we thoroughly enjoy it. I would recommend it to anyone interested.”

2015 Porsche Macan S

“The 2015 Porsche Macan S has a great power train and is very fun to drive every day. I think the S model with the V6 is worth the price perhaps sacrificing higher mileage or older model year to get rather than the base model. The 2017 and newer models have an updated infotainment unit supporting Apple CarPlay. This is superior to the 2016 and older models and worth getting.”
