About the 2015 Land Rover LR2

2nd gen LR2 / Freelander 2 (L359, 2008-2015 US), final US model year before the Discovery Sport replacement.

Land Rover positions the LR2 as a compact luxury SUV that delivers real Land Rover off-road ability without giving up everyday comfort. Its core pitch is simple: a smaller, easier-to-park SUV with standard all-wheel drive, Terrain Response, a high seating position, an airy cabin, and strong bad-weather confidence. Compared with typical small luxury crossovers, the LR2 stands out more for trail ability, visibility, and upright practicality than for cutting-edge tech or sporty acceleration.

The 2015 LR2 comes in base, HSE, and HSE LUX trims, all with a 240-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a six-speed automatic transmission, and standard all-wheel drive. The base trim has leather seating, a panoramic sunroof, and a 7-inch touchscreen, while the HSE adds xenon headlights and a rearview camera. The HSE LUX brings Windsor leather and a 17-speaker Meridian sound system.

“Speedometer is useless tachometer does not serve any purpose. Speedometer should light up. Tailgate needs an open button on dashboard and a close button on tailgate. It needs a digital speedometer. Can not read the one it has. Needs the rear tailgate door to be opened and closed with a button. When car is turned off the driver's seat should move back for ease of getting out of vehicle.”
