About the 2015 Jaguar XK

2nd generation (X150), final model year; sold in the US from 2007 through 2015

Jaguar positioned the XK as a fast, luxurious 2+2 grand tourer rather than a tightly focused two-seat sports car. Its defining traits were a lightweight aluminum body, smooth V8 power, coupe or power-convertible-roof bodywork, a leather-lined cabin, and suspension tuned for both winding roads and long trips. The XK emphasized dramatic design and comfort while offering progressively stronger performance through the XK, XKR, and XKR-S versions.

The 2015 XK is a comfort-focused grand tourer with a 385-hp V8, heated and cooled leather seats, built-in navigation, and premium Bowers & Wilkins audio. The XKR raises output to 510 hp, while the 550-hp XKR-S adds a lower performance suspension, stronger brakes, an active exhaust, and more aggressive bodywork. The Final Fifty combines the XKR engine with suspension tuning and performance hardware inspired by the XKR-S.

What changed, by category

Powertrain
The new Final Fifty used the XKR’s existing 510-hp supercharged V8 and added a performance active exhaust as standard edition hardware. The core V8 engines, six-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel-drive layout otherwise carried over.
Styling
The US-only Final Fifty joined the lineup, while the XK Touring and XKR-S GT departed. Final Fifty details included a louvered hood, aerodynamic side sills, a rear diffuser, a larger rear wing, and edition-specific identification. Bright metallic pedals also became standard across the regular range.
Safety
Adaptive headlights became standard across the XK range.
Tech
HD Radio became standard across the XK range.
Structural
The Final Fifty received XKR-S-derived adaptive suspension tuning and a ride height lowered by 10 mm. The XK’s aluminum body structure was unchanged.

“Excellant vehicle overall. Two items that could/should be improved - 1. not able to play music with Bluetooth 2. headlights retain water and fog, was told that was normal which I do not believe as it does not occur with our other cars regardless of initial cost.”
