My BMW Z-4 is a driver's dream, and I am DELIGHTED to own and drive one. Although I have never previously owned a sports car/convertible, I absolutely love my BMW Z-4 Roadster... and having experienced its safety in having been broad-sided in an accident, it rates higher now than when purchased!!

Love the car... but really do not like run flat tires... on any car. A flat tire is an inconvenience in any situation, with std engineered or run flat tires. BMW roadside assistance (including towing to a tire store) should be sufficient to protect owners from TOO much inconvenience.

Wish it did not have the exterior antenna. Wish the instrument gauges were easier to read/had larger numbers.

I absolutely HATE the automatic dimming of the rear and side mirrors. This is ostensibly to reduce glare when driving at night -- but it makes it very dangerous to drive because it makes it difficult to see what is going on behind you when there are no cars behind you. Also, the dimming is so extreme that you cannot see the color of the car behind you -- in case you needed to report it to the police (for example). I HATE HATE HATE the mirrors that dim when it gets dark out. I find this very dangerous at night. I cannot comfortably see the cars behind me other than their lights. I cannot see people or obstacles.

Very happy with it. Loving convertibles while not living in Southern California or Arizona, the retractable hardtop was an absolute, non-negotiable must for me. I read that the next model will not have this, which would make it a non-starter for me as any future possible purchase. I also read that the next model will be a collaboration with Toyota. I see this watering down of a great brand as a tragedy. I have owned and driven Toyotas, utterly boring vehicles that can only serve to devalue the BMW name.
