“Really wish it had dynamic cruise control and memory seats. Weird for those features to be missing on a $140k car.”
2015 BMW i8: What's New, Specs & Features

About the 2015 BMW i8
1st generation i8 coupe (I12, 2014-2020), second U.S. model year, pre-refresh.
BMW positioned the i8 as a new kind of sports car: something with exotic-car looks and quick acceleration, but built around plug-in hybrid efficiency and short electric-only driving. Its biggest differences from rival coupes were the lightweight carbon-fiber structure, the split powertrain that drives the front wheels electrically and the rear wheels with a turbo gas engine, and a strong focus on sustainability alongside performance. It was sold as a technology statement as much as a sports car.
BMW positioned the 2015 i8 as a futuristic sports car with dramatic wing-opening doors, short all-electric driving, and all-wheel drive. Its plug-in hybrid system combines a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine and a front electric motor for 357 horsepower, while a carbon-fiber passenger cabin and aluminum chassis keep the structure light. Notable equipment includes adaptive suspension, LED headlights, a head-up display, navigation, and heated power-adjustable sport seats.

2015 BMW i8 Reviews
What owners are saying about the 2015 BMW i8.
“Automatic Seat bolsters like my M5 would be nice. More storage room in cockpit (sunglasses, cup holders would be nice since the scissors doors make open pockets unrealistic). Fit and finish -- nooks and crannies around headlights, taillights, external mirrors, and rear deck glass, trap water and make hard to detail. More power access near rearview mirror or overhead controls (for radar detectors, Gps etc.)”
“Thanks to BMW for a great car... best I've had for driving fun.. Had it for 6 weeks great to drive (1,900 miles on it), did not buy it to sit in the garage on nice days...”
