About the 2015 BMW 5 Series

6th-generation 5 Series family for the U.S. market: F10 sedan and F07 Gran Turismo, late-cycle year after the 2014 refresh.

For 2015, the BMW 5 Series is positioned as a midsize luxury car that blends strong turbocharged powertrains, long-distance comfort, and a tech-rich cabin. In sedan form it is the classic executive four-door, while the Gran Turismo is the more practical, taller hatchback alternative with extra rear-seat space and cargo flexibility. Across the range, BMW leans on smooth power delivery, premium materials, standard navigation, and a composed highway ride more than sharp-edge sportiness alone.

The 2015 range covers several roles: the 528i is the efficient entry sedan, the six-cylinder 535i is the middle ground, and the 550i brings a twin-turbo V8. The 535d emphasizes long-distance diesel efficiency, the ActiveHybrid 5 adds electric assistance, and the Gran Turismo models trade the sedan shape for a roomier cabin, flexible rear seating, and a large power tailgate.
