2015 BMW 2 Series

I was searching for a car that would be my daily driver (comfort, fuel economy) yet also make me look forward to driving (sporty, highly maneuverable, attractive). After owning the 228i for 4 months I can confidently say this car is the perfect balance for me. I am extremely pleased with my new vehicle and purchasing experience. One feature I especially enjoy is having driving "modes" - sport, comfort, and economy - to suit my mood on a particular drive. Although this was not initially a large selling feature for me, it is something that I will certainly look for in future purchases. It is like having several cars to choose between when I get behind the wheel.

I LOVE my car!!

Easy to drive, fits in my side of the garage. Very comfortable interior, still reading my books that came with the new car. I have arthritis in my hands so the steering wheel is just the right size to grip, no pain after driving for a good time period.

Complex radio/multimedia programming.

Only issue thus far is that the battery has needed to be charged in cold weather despite a daily 10 mile commute.

Two complaints about an otherwise fantastic car: 1. Needs engine oil temperature readout--this is a serious sports car without something that basic. 2. Cheap looking/feeling sun visors.

This vehicle should have included an engine water temperature gauge. There should have been an option from BMW itself for a factory-installed, mechanically locking rear axle differential.

I feel BMW threw a curveball on the 228i regarding the audio upgrade to the Harman Kardon stereo system. Every other BMW I have ever owned that had this option, it included a subwoofer for a clean, full sound. I got the same upgrade on the 228i, as I always have, but it does not come with a subwoofer on this model so the sound is not as robust as I was expecting based on all previous experiences. I've never understood why, on a premium automobile like the BMW, they just don't put a top-of-the-line stereo system in all their models, as a standard feature.

Cloth seats should be an option with sport seats. Better feedback from electric steering would be great.

I like my new 2 series car but preferred the size of the 1 series.
