About the 2015 Audi Q7

1st gen (2007-2015 U.S. model run), final year of this body style in the U.S.

Audi positions the Q7 as a premium family SUV that blends three-row usefulness with a more polished, carlike feel than truck-based rivals. The emphasis is on quiet highway comfort, upscale cabin materials, strong V6 power, and standard quattro all-wheel drive rather than hardcore off-road use. For many buyers, the Q7’s draw is simple: seven-passenger flexibility with Audi design, solid road manners, and available diesel torque for long-distance driving.

The 2015 Q7 remained a seven-seat luxury SUV with standard all-wheel drive and either a supercharged gas V6 or a turbo-diesel V6. Premium Plus trims emphasized everyday upgrades such as navigation, Bose audio, and a panoramic sunroof, while Prestige models added features including ventilated front seats, four-zone climate control, and a corner-view camera system.

“Again, I have been caught off guard by the comments from my coworkers that they are surprised my 2015 Q7 does not have a backup camera. This is the only negative on my 2nd Q7 - the SUV I truly feel is timeless in its styling and great to drive.”

RSRichard S.
2015 Audi Q7 3.0T Quattro

“I owned a BlueTec Mercedes before and the garage opener was operational after the engine was turned off. I would have liked to see that feature in my new Audi. Also, I have my radar detector plugged into the cigarette lighter and it stays on after the engine is turned off. I've been told that it does turn off after some minutes. Would be more logical if it turned off with engine shut off.”

MHMarianne H.
2015 Audi Q7 3.0L TDI Quattro

“Brakes squeal at low-speed braking. This is a known issue by the manufacturer to the point they have a pamphlet on it. There has been no introduction of a new brake pad for the Q7, rather it seems it is something the driver has to deal with.”
