About the 2014 Volkswagen CC
1st-generation CC, facelifted 2013-2017 phase; 2014 is the second U.S. model year after the major 2013 styling and cabin update.
Volkswagen positions the CC as a style-first, near-luxury alternative to ordinary midsize sedans. It gives up some rear-seat headroom and everyday practicality in exchange for a lower roof, frameless-door coupe look, richer cabin materials, and a more upscale feel than a Passat. Against entry luxury sedans, its pitch is similar design flair and equipment without the premium-brand badge; against mainstream sedans, its draw is design, cabin ambiance, and a more European road feel.
The 2014 CC lineup ranges from the well-equipped 2.0T Sport to the visually sharper R-Line and the comfort-focused new 2.0T Executive, which has leather seats, a sunroof, keyless entry and a larger touchscreen. The flagship 3.6 VR6 4Motion Executive pairs a 280-hp V6 with all-wheel drive, premium audio, ventilated front seats and a driver’s massage function. Every trim has touchscreen navigation, heated power front seats and upscale lighting.

Touchscreen navigation becomes standard on every trim, using a 5-inch system in Sport and R-Line models and a 6.5-inch system in both Executive models. VW Car-Net connected services are also added across the lineup. The Sport gains adaptive bi-xenon headlights with LED lighting, while the V6 Executive adds keyless entry, push-button start and hands-free trunk opening.
Safety
Rearview-camera availability expands. Late-production Sport and R-Line models add the camera, so some earlier 2014 examples may not have it.
