The trunk lid opening is too short. It is difficult to place large items through the opening despite them fitting within the available space. The armrest is placed too far aft for comfort. Having owned four Camrys prior to 1992 and one Corolla, I am very impressed with the engineering improvements with the 2014 Camry. I chose the 2014 because I do not care for the 2015 Camry front end. It is following the Lexus styling which I do not care for. The short trunk lid is the greatest negative on the Camry for me. I use the trunk a great deal and this was a sacrifice for me to move into a newer vehicle. I also find the digital dash display for mileage and coolant temperature to not be displayed bright enough. I would like a digital display of engine temperature rather than a bar graph. Kudos for the engine balancing and lack of resonance. A smooth, quiet and good handling vehicle with excellent fuel mileage were key factors in my purchase. The color combination with the creme brulee and multitone seat colors caught my eye and were a key factor in selecting the vehicle purchased.

Good but a couple of things missing. If not I could have told excellent and I am delighted. Overall I was happy. But regarding the engine and air conditioning, I was not as happy as with other vehicles.

What's not to like... It's new, hopefully long lasting and dependable, good reputation helps ensure reliability... if the Camry lasts me more than 10 years I'll be happy.

So far, so good. I've owned the Camry just 6 weeks. Only a couple of beefs about the interior. 1) I wish I could raise the steering wheel higher. I'm fairly tall and the steering wheel (event at the high tilt position) feels low to me. 2) Also hate the new government-mandated headrests. My previous car was from the 2008 model year (before the new rules on headrests took effect). It was much more comfortable. Really wish I had the option to opt out of the new curved (and uncomfortable) headrests, more to the point, I wish the government would keep its nose out of this kind of thing.

The ride on my new vehicle is a little harsh. The SE Sport edition suspension is too stiff for a car like the Camry which is noted for being a smooth ride. An adjustable suspension system might be an interesting option. The operating manual is too busy. It could be condensed. I really like the car and its reliability and value has proven itself in the other Toyotas I have owned.

The Eco light is a distraction. I feel like I'm doing something wrong when I accelerate and it goes off, so I end up constantly watching it. It's a waste to have the average fuel economy as a gauge on the dashboard. I would benefit greatly from a remaining mileage indicator. A turning light indicator on the side mirrors would be a nice addition. USB audio always resets when the vehicle is turned off. Why can't it remember the settings? It takes a very long time for the heating system to heat up the interior. A remote garage opener should be a standard option. Rough transmission. Hard to insert ignition key. Sensitive gas cap. Check engine light comes up if not closed properly. Unable to use phone as both, phone and audio source via Bluetooth at the same time. Favorites not copied off the phone into car's memory.

I buy Toyota cars because of my past experience with them. At one time I was a GM person but that stopped years ago. My success with the Toyota cars will not make me change to other makes.

Toyota Camry has one of the worst Navigation systems. I had an issue ticket opened up with Toyota and all they came back to tell me was that is how it is designed !.. the navigation system tells you 2 blocks ahead that you have arrived at your destination. To me this is unacceptable, as other maps on your phone give you a very accurate navigation guidance

Bluetooth is horrible. Not sure if because of wind noise or a problem with the system. Road noise is considerably loud, though tolerable. Also, the rear bumper had to be removed due to failure in vehicle construction processes. I didn't notice it until the other day, but the tech who removed my bumper gouged the paint right below my left tail light. Not happy.

I enjoy my new vehicle. I feel like I really got value for my money and will buy another Toyota again in the future when I am in the market for a new vehicle many years down the road.
