About the 2014 MINI Countryman

1st gen R60 Countryman (2011-2016 U.S.), last pre-facelift model year before the 2015 refresh.

MINI positions the Countryman as the more rugged, more practical MINI: four doors, seating for five, extra cargo space, and available ALL4 all-wheel drive without giving up the brand’s playful personality. It is the MINI for shoppers who need everyday usefulness, a higher seating position, and light-adventure versatility, but still want something more distinctive and more fun to drive than a typical small crossover.

The Cooper is the everyday, front-wheel-drive version, while the turbocharged Cooper S adds stronger acceleration and the Cooper S ALL4 adds all-wheel drive. At the top, the 208-hp John Cooper Works ALL4 pairs all-wheel drive with a sport suspension, sport exhaust, and more aggressive bodywork.

“The Mini Cooper Countryman we purchased has been dependable and really fun to drive. I've owned a Mini previously and was never disappointed. This one is the same. The only issue we have is that we did not realize it only runs on premium gasoline. Because it's our second vehicle, that's not a huge issue.”
