About the 2014 Honda Ridgeline

1st gen (2006-2014), final model year

Honda positions the Ridgeline as a pickup for buyers who want real truck usefulness without the harsher feel of a traditional body-on-frame truck. Its core appeal is a roomy five-passenger cabin, a smoother ride from its integrated body and independent suspension, and clever built-in utility features like the lockable In-Bed Trunk and dual-action tailgate. In everyday terms, it is a daily-driver pickup aimed at commuting, family use, home projects, and weekend hauling more than heavy-duty work.

The 2014 Ridgeline lineup ranges from the utility-focused RT, with standard four-wheel drive and a lockable In-Bed Trunk, to the more comfortable RTL, with leather, heated front seats, and a moonroof. The new SE sits at the top with navigation, Bluetooth hands-free calling, black exterior trim, and exclusive 18-inch wheels.

“My only issue is the rear view camera is cheap/low grade and not at all like many others on the market. Also having traded in an older model Ridgeline I was surprised to see the DUAL control button on the climate control system had been removed. I have to work both sides, heating or cooling, most of the time as I drive alone.”

“As a 13 time Honda owner I again stress my pleasure of the Honda Ridgeline and Honda's commitment to keeping the vehicle in the line up. I bought my 14 on fears that the truck would not appear again as a new model, but my concerns are beginning to fade after seeing some of the sketches. I look forward to a relaunch of the Ridgeline and my subsequent purchase of a new one! Bring back the Ridgeline!”

“Need hands free cell phone availability. My second Ridgeline and experience has been excellent! Honda Ridgeline needs to all hands free cell phone access. Please add a separate option to have hands-free without navigation. Possibly add retrofit to all Ridgeline for add-on hands-free usage?”
