About the 2014 Ford F-250

3rd generation Super Duty (2011-2016), fourth model year of that generation and a late-cycle year before the all-new 2017 redesign.

Ford positioned the 2014 F-250 as a heavy-duty pickup for serious towing, hauling and jobsite use, but with a very wide spread of personalities. At one end it was a simple work truck; at the other it could be trimmed like a luxury vehicle. The core draw versus lighter pickups was sturdier hardware, higher towing and payload ability, and engines built around hard work rather than everyday commuting comfort.

The 2014 lineup runs from the no-nonsense XL work truck to the more comfortable XLT and leather-trimmed Lariat, which has an 8-inch touchscreen and rearview camera. King Ranch adds western-themed leather and trim, while Platinum tops the range with premium leather, navigation, and heated and cooled front seats.
