2014 Dodge Dart

About the 2014 Dodge Dart

PF generation (2013-2016), second model year.

Dodge marketed the Dart as a compact sedan that did not feel economy-car basic. The pitch centered on bold Dodge styling, cabin room large enough for EPA midsize classification, a more interesting dashboard than most small sedans, and unusually big available screens for the class. In shopper terms, the Dart's identity was style and space first, with trim choices that let the same sedan range from basic transportation to fuel-saver, sport-themed car, or near-premium compact.

The 2014 Dart lineup has clearly defined roles: SE is the basic model, SXT is the better-equipped everyday trim, and Aero focuses on fuel economy with a 1.4-liter turbo, drag-reducing body hardware, and a digital gauge display. GT adds sport-tuned steering and suspension, while Limited emphasizes comfort with leather, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a sunroof, and touchscreen navigation.

What changed, by category

Powertrain
The 184-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder became standard on SXT and Limited, while the 1.4-liter turbo was limited to Aero and SE retained the 2.0-liter engine. Flex-fuel powertrains also joined SE and SXT.
Styling
Rallye moved from a standalone trim to an SXT package, while Aero and GT became standalone trims. Alloy wheels also changed from optional to standard on SXT.
Tech
Aero made Bluetooth, a rearview camera, satellite radio, a touchscreen, and USB connectivity standard. Bluetooth became standard on SXT, proximity keyless entry became standard on GT, and Limited gained a longer list of standard comfort and cabin technology, including navigation, leather, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a sunroof, dual-zone climate control, remote start, and proximity keyless entry.

“The only problem I have with mine is when it's raining and I crack the window a lot of water comes in (more than a normal amount). I think it comes from the windshield when driving down the road, the water gets all over the window/lock buttons on the arm rest. Afraid it's going to get inside and short them out”

BBBecky B.
2014 Dodge Dart Limited

“Ultimately was a bad purchase. Had repeated issues with tire blowouts due to the rough suspension and run-flat tires. Sold the car for a loss in less than a year.”

“This Dodge Dart had worn out brakes, and within a month I had to fix 2 check engine issues & to top it off it vibrates like crazy.”
