Chrysler positioned the 300 as a bold, full-size American sedan that mixed standout styling with rear-wheel-drive proportions, a roomy cabin, and available V8 power or AWD. In plain terms, it was the big sedan for shoppers who wanted something more dramatic than a typical family car but less expensive than a luxury badge. Its main draws were its upright look, comfortable ride, available HEMI power, and a broad lineup that ranged from simple V6 transportation to true muscle-sedan performance.

The 2010 lineup stretches from the basic 2.7-liter V6 Touring to the comfort-focused Limited and V8-powered 300C. The new 300S adds darker styling, sport-tuned steering and suspension, bolstered leather-and-suede seats and a 13-speaker audio system. At the top, the SRT8 pairs a 6.1-liter V8 with performance brakes and a lowered suspension.
