I wish rear seat had more reclining capabilities

Running boards are dangerous! gL550 should have running boards like Escalade! Acceleration linearity is poor. Acceleration is not smooth like my Lexus. Electronics hard to learn.

Obviously I am pleased with this vehicle. It is pricey but not significantly more than Yukon XL Denali and Suburbans and it is less costly than the Cadillac Escalade. I don't care for the bland styling of Lexus or the repair record of Range Rover.

The vehicle lacks rear seat features and comfort when compared with the other series. Indeed the rear seating area is barely up to Chevrolet standards, which is very disappointing for an $80,000 vehicle. The seats are plain and uninviting, as are the armrests. Would not work on a long trip unless the passengers are children. The rear seats should be fully adjustable and ventilated, handholds should be provided as well as radio controls and comfortable armrests. It is evident that Mercedes was trying to skimp on the basics for this class of vehicle. These features are standard on most vehicles which cost substantially less.

The car is a pleasure to drive and I have not regretted my decision to purchase it.

Could use more luggage room

My vehicle is a V6 which has minimal power compared to my 2012 Gl450 which was a V8. It's not fun driving around with less power. Also it would have been nice to have captain or individual seats in the second row so the third row is more accessible.
