Alfa Romeo Giulia

The Giulia is one of the best premium sports sedans on the market. Alfa Romeo’s compact four-door not only oozes Italian style but also packs plenty of punch under the hood, including an available 505-horsepower Ferrari-derived turbo V6. And that’s not all. Its lively chassis makes the shapely saloon a joy to pilot down a twisty road. On the downside, some Giulia owners find its rear seat a bit too cramped and interior storage lacking.

Alfa Romeo Giulia Model Lineup

The Giulia is a premium compact sports sedan that seats up to five passengers. It’s the only sedan in the Alfa Romeo lineup and shares a platform and some components with the Italian automaker’s other model, the Stelvio, a compact crossover SUV.

Alfa Romeo has offered the Giulia in a variety of trims over the years. They include the base model (renamed Sprint in 2021), the mid-range Ti, and the high-performance Quadrifoglio. Both the base and the Ti offer Sport versions, which add some unique styling details. The Ti Lusso, on the other hand, offers a more luxurious interior. The Ti Sport trim was renamed Veloce in 2022. Standard equipment includes keyless entry and ignition, leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, and rear parking sensors. In 2018, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration became standard, and in 2020, the infotainment system was upgraded from a 6.5-inch display to an 8.8-inch touchscreen. Alfa Romeo made a host of other desirable features standard in 2022, including heated front and rear seats, a heated steering wheel, a wireless device charger, navigation, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, and lane-departure warning. They had previously been optional or limited to higher-level trims.

Most versions of the Giulia employ a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine making 280 horsepower. It’s backed by an eight-speed automatic transmission, which routes the power to the rear wheels, unless the car is equipped with optional all-wheel drive. The range-topping Quadrifoglio gets a Ferrari-derived 2.9-liter turbo V6, which sends a whopping 505 hp to the rear wheels (only) via an eight-speed automatic. It also utilizes a torque-vectoring rear differential to ensure maximum traction and performance. No hybrid or electric versions of the Giulia have yet been produced.

The vehicle has great acceleration, good gas mileage, smooth ride, great handling and a nice look. You get all the features of more expensive vehicles without having to pay the price.

The vehicle handles like a dream. Runs great with the perfect amount of purr. The backseats are smaller than they appear when the seats are set to your settings, but is only a problem if you expect a lot of people in your backseat. The trunk is also smaller than it appears. But other than that you will not have any complaints and may notice more features than you originally expected. I wake up and look forward to driving in such a great vehicle.

It's awesome to drive, but there are some build problems and the infotainment system is clunky and out of date.
