Toyota Mirai
In Japanese, the word “mirai” means future, making it a fitting name for one of the few hydrogen fuel cell vehicles on the market, the Toyota Mirai. The future, however, may not be as close as some would prefer, as the Mirai is sold primarily in California, the only state with a significant number of hydrogen fueling stations. For those lucky denizens, though, the Mirai offers plenty. Though it lacks any serious performance traits, Toyota's futuristic sedan is lauded for its environmentally friendly powertrain, which actually cleans the air as it goes, as well as its luxurious ride and impressive list of standard features.

Toyota Mirai Model Lineup
The Mirai is a midsize hydrogen fuel cell sedan with room for four to five passengers, depending on the model year. It is the only hydrogen fuel cell vehicle in Toyota’s lineup. While the first-generation Mirai (2016-2020) is similar in size to the midsize Camry, the second-gen version (2021-), which is based on the Lexus LS, is closer in size to the full-size Avalon.
Toyota offered the first-generation Mirai in just a single unnamed trim. However, with the launch of the second generation (for the 2021 model year), Toyota expanded the Mirai’s trim lineup to two: the entry-level XLE and top-tier Limited. Regardless of model year, the Mirai comes with a generous list of standard tech and safety features, including a rearview camera, heated rear seats, a blind-spot warning system, forward collision mitigation, and adaptive cruise control. In 2021, Toyota also added standard lane-centering assist and upgraded the infotainment system to a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
Under the hood of the Mirai, a fuel cell combines compressed hydrogen with oxygen from the air to produce electricity, which in turn powers the vehicle. Prior to 2021, the setup delivered a little over 150 horsepower to the front wheels and achieved roughly 300 miles of range. With the second generation’s 2021 debut, the powertrain received a boost to 182 hp and as much as 400 miles of range. It also moved from front- to rear-wheel drive to assist with performance.

Gray comfortable car but be swear if the cost of hydrogen per mile, at times day's cost, it is double my cost for using the Q5. Wish it was shown as gallons rather than kilograms fur easier comparison
