Nissan NV200
The Nissan NV200 is a highly capable commercial cargo van with a relatively affordable price tag. Among its strengths are its surprisingly roomy and versatile interior, impressive maneuverability in urban environments, and strong fuel economy (returning an EPA-estimated 25 mpg in mixed driving). On the flip side, some NV200 owners express dissatisfaction with its rather spartan qualities, especially when it comes to passenger comfort and available tech, as well as its somewhat lethargic engine.

Nissan NV200 Model Lineup
The NV200 is a compact cargo van with available seating for two people. It is the smallest commercial van in Nissan’s lineup, measuring about four and a half feet shorter than the full-size NV Cargo. The NV200 was discontinued following the 2021 model year without an immediate replacement.
Nissan sold the NV200 in two trims: the base-level S and the better-equipped SV. Features are relatively sparse across both trims, as you might expect from a no-frills commercial van. Still, Nissan did add some notable convenience and safety items through the years. A rearview camera became standard for the 2018 model year (and was previously optional), while a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility became standard for 2020. Rear parking sensors have been optional since 2015. However, most other advanced safety features, including adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, forward collision mitigation, and lane-keeping assist, were never offered.
Motivating all versions of the NV200 is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that sends 131 horsepower to the front wheels (only) via a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). No hybrid or electric versions were built.

Rear camera is pointed at the ground rather than just toward the back. Big downside.

I have been very satisfied with the choice of Nissan Cargo Van NV200 - reflected in the ratings. Thoughtful design is appreciated, along with good hauling and storage. Downsides: small tires, low gas mileage, with gas mileage being the most worrisome.

Only have had unit for 4 months and seats are already fuzzing up on the material. Seems to be very cheap covering. Not impressed with that so far. Have to replace vehicles every 2.5 years. Hate to know what it will look like by then.

More fuel capacity/range. Better heater. Better/longer armrest. Change/coin holder. Better cargo lighting. Better/stronger ''jacking'' points. Passenger entry assist grab bar. Antenna that doesn't add to vehicle height. Consider higher option level. Add sound insulation, better seat, and better speaker system for users that are less commercial and more recreational. I use mine mixed as daily errand runner and multi-day road tripper. I installed home built bed and storage that is easily removed for use as cargo hauler. I am astounded at how well the drive train performs. 7k miles so far. Will have firm opinion in 143k more miles. Thinking I found a winner. This vehicle takes over daily duties of Ford E350 except for heavy loads and trailering.

There are some major design flaws. When it is cold the TPMS sensor goes off and you can't see the odometer and there is no way to reset it without actually getting out in the freezing cold to check the pressure. My Honda only goes off when the tires are at different pressures so you know one is going flat and not just when it gets cold. Also, I hate having to go around the vehicle to make sure all the doors are locked. I want to just hit a button to lock the doors like every other vehicle that has been made since 1990.
