Volvo C40 Recharge Model Lineup
The C40 Recharge is a coupe-like version of Volvo’s all-electric compact crossover SUV, the XC40 Recharge. The five-seater is the only battery-powered fastback sport utility vehicle in the Swedish automaker’s lineup.
Motivating the C40 Recharge is a 78-kilowatt-hour battery pack paired with two electric motors, one at the front axle and one at the rear. Together, they generate 402 horsepower, which is routed to all four wheels. The electric powertrain can deliver up to 226 miles of range on a single charge, according to the EPA. Once depleted, the battery pack takes about eight hours to refill using a 240-volt at-home charger, or it can gain an 80% charge in as quickly as 35 minutes via a DC fast charger.
Volvo offers the C40 Recharge in a single, well-equipped trim called Ultimate. Standard equipment includes LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, a hands-free liftgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, a digital instrument cluster, faux leather upholstery, power-adjustable and heated front seats, heated rear seats, and a 9.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Also standard is a suite of active safety tech and driver aids, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, blind-spot monitoring and intervention, lane-keeping assist, a surround-view camera, and parking sensors.
