Volkswagen Passat

The Passat has been a staple of the Volkswagen lineup since the 1970s. The midsize sedan stands out in its segment for its refined and comfortable ride and its spacious interior, which boasts class-leading rear legroom as well as a large trunk. Under the hood, the VW also offers a range of engines, including fuel-efficient gas and diesel four-cylinders and a powerful V6. However, the Passat faces some criticism for its more conservative styling compared to competitors as well as its somewhat dated infotainment system. Additionally, its handling and driving dynamics, while smooth, are less engaging than some sportier rivals. Buyers should also note that VW discontinued the Passat in the U.S. after the 2022 model year.

2014 Volkswagen Passat SE Sedan (2.0L TDI)

I love my new 2014 VW Passat. Each time I drive it, it brings a smile to my face. There are only 3 things that I would change: 1. Increase the size of the sun roof. 2. Add an arm rest on the right side of the driver's seat. I am 5 ft tall and the arm rest does not slide forward enough to be useful. 3. The instrument panel could be simplified. I will never drive 160 mph so why does my scale go up that high? I would rather the 12:00 position on the dial represent a common speed so I can check my speed with a quick glance (ie 50 mph).

2014 Volkswagen Passat SEL Sedan (2.0L TDI)

I am really enjoying my Passat TDI. I love the premium trim level and all the options. I feel if I am spending so much money on an item it should be worth it and hold value. I love that diesel engines get great mileage and are made to last. I prefer quality in all purchases and I am willing to pay more for it.

I'm disappointed with a couple of problems I've had with the vehicle. A new vehicle should have zero issues.
