Volkswagen CC
The Volkswagen CC, produced from 2009 through 2017, is a stylish four-door coupe known for its sleek design, engaging performance, and premium interior. Based on the midsize Passat, the CC shares that car's solid build quality and much of its practicality, including seating for up to five passengers, but it trades the staid family sedan look for a classy swept-back appearance. Like its sibling, the CC comes with the choice of a turbocharged four-cylinder or a more powerful V6 engine, both providing strong performance and reasonable fuel efficiency. However, the Volkswagen CC also has its share of drawbacks, including limited rear headroom due to its sloping roofline and a smaller trunk compared to some competitors (as well as the Passat). Additionally, while the CC offers the premium driving experience that VW is known for, it falls short of the truly sporty dynamics of some rivals in the segment. Buyers should also note that VW introduced a similar model, known as the Arteon, in 2019.
