Large Cargo Capacity

The Nissan Versa Note may be a compact car, but its accommodations for storage capacity make it feel like it's so much more than that. That's because the Versa Note offers 18.8 cubic feet of cargo capacity (large enough for four bags of gold clubs) behind the rear seats. With the rear seats lowered, the Versa Note can hold up to 38.3 cubic feet of gear.

Roomy Interior

Didn't think a compact car could offer enough storage space for all your gear AND allow for plenty of room for your friends and family members? The Versa Note will have you thinking again. The cabin area is roomy, particularly in back, where two tall adults can sit in comfort with ample head and legroom.

Impressive Fuel Economy

Equipped with a manual transmission, the EPA-estimated fuel economy on the Versa Note hovers around 30 mpg combined. By itself, this is a pretty solid figure. However, when equipped with a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission)/automatic transmission, the Versa Note is capable of achieving an impressive 35 mpg combined (31 mpg city/40 mpg highway).

Engine

Though the CVT on the Versa Note will have you shifting gears smoothly as you zip around town, the vehicle has earned criticism for having a noisy engine. Specifically, engine noise becomes an issue if the gas pedal is abruptly pressed down.

Interior Materials

As impressive as the Versa Note is in terms of the room for passengers it provides, it is arguably as unimpressive when it comes to the materials that make up its cabin area. With hard plastics and uninspired design serving as the main takeaway, the Versa Note's interior is about as basic as you'll find on any vehicle.

Performance And Handling

Don't get your hopes up if you're looking for thrilling performance out of the Versa Note. The acceleration lacks punch, and the electric-assist steering and handling on the vehicle is rather dull, offering little substance to the driver.

I love the car, but the air flow in the AC system is poor and hard to position. I am either sweating or freezing - hard to find an in between.

If you are looking for a basic, no thrills, but dependable, useful and fun vehicle, check out a Nissan Versa Note. I have the 5-speed manual transmission hatchback and it is adequately roomy and good for loading up a lot of stuff.

2016 Nissan Versa Note S Plus Hatchback

It's a nice little car. Good storage space in back with rear seats up, and even more when down. The CVT is peppy and delivers good mileage.

it is a great car, comfortable, spacious, powerful enough, high, you can see well, but....... make sure it is properly put together! I do like this car more that the similar options from other brands, but unfortunately mine was poorly constructed and that to me is unacceptable, I am seriously doubting I will buy another NISSAN car because of that!

2016 Nissan Versa Note SV Hatchback

This is a reasonably priced, easy-to-drive vehicle if you don't spend a lot of time on freeways, and appreciate ease of loading when you travel or shop. It's a good commuter car, and the size and ease of maneuverability (I own an automatic transmission) make it fun to drive and easy to park.
