Nissan Murano

The Nissan Murano, a midsize crossover SUV, first arrived on the scene in 2003 and has since gone through several redesigns, with the latest models offering a sleek exterior, an upscale interior, and many advanced safety features. Known for its comfortable and spacious cabin, the Murano stands out with its near-luxury feel and user-friendly infotainment system. Owners also appreciate its smooth ride and refined V6 engine. However, the Murano faces criticism for its less-than-stellar fuel economy and limited cargo space compared to some competitors. Additionally, drivers seeking sportier handling may find the Murano's performance somewhat lacking. Despite these drawbacks, the Nissan Murano remains a compelling option for those looking for a stylish and comfortable midsize SUV with a premium touch.

Wind and road noise. All 4 door handles have paint defects. There is a lot of wind and road noise in the interior at 60 to 70 MPH. I am disappointed in the ride of this automobile. My 2001 Lexus RX-300 has a smoother ride. I can feel every bump of the road in the interior of the automobile including the steering wheel and floorboard.

There are a couple of features I really think could be improved. 1. When I take my sunglasses out of the eyeglass holder they are extremely hot! It makes me think that the roof is not well insulated and adds to the warmth to the interior as well as uncomfortable eyeglasses. 2. Not enough cupholders in the front. The Altima has much better areas for cups and bottles. 3. The little storage area in between the front seats opens toward the passenger and makes retrieval of coins and objects very difficult for the driver to access. It has a lid on it that stands upright on the left side of the opening and makes it impossible for the driver to reach in and get things out of the bottom. A car really needs a little spot to toss coins and bills into when getting money back from drive thru windows. I'm ready to rip the lid off! 4. The front window tint needs to come down further. 5. You cannot see the backup or nav screen with sunglasses on. Most people in California drive with sunglasses on so these two functions are really frustrating to work with.

I feel that the cargo area of the Murano should have included a cargo cover and organizational items. For the price of the car, these items could easily have been included. I don't feel it is appropriate to have to purchase aftermarket items, or have to take the car back to be outfitted with something that is necessary for the daily use of the car. The Rogue had these items as standard and this is a model up from the Rogue.

Opening the windows in the rain results in water POURING into the car; rain guards along the roof line would be nice. The positioning of the front center console is clunky. It's situated too far back, requiring the passenger/driver to readjust at an odd angle to open the console and/or use the cup holders. And there aren't enough easily accessible compartments for phone, sunglasses, keys, and other items to grab easily while driving.

I'm frustrated that people can't hear me when I use the bluetooth telephone. I have to switch to the handset every time.

We have owned our Murano for just a few weeks. As we drive it and experience it more on the road, our expectations are being exceeded.

Didn't like the style of the 2015 as much so purchased a 2014. Wanted a navigation system but am very disappointed with it.

Overall love car. The only complaint I have is the navigation package. Absolutely worst ever used. Not user-friendly. Also bluetooth sucks. They had me test drive 2015 which is way better. Very disappointed in tech pkg.
