Mazda CX-30
The CX-30 brings Mazda’s signature fun-to-drive spirit to the subcompact crossover segment. The cute-ute also boasts a surprisingly upscale interior for its price point, not to mention a generous level of standard safety tech, including adaptive cruise control. On the downside, some CX-30 owners have expressed disappointment with its overall roominess, especially for rear-seat occupants. Its occasionally slow-to-downshift automatic transmission also garners some complaints.

Mazda CX-30 Model Lineup
The CX-30 is a subcompact crossover SUV with room for up to five passengers. It became the smallest model in Mazda’s sport-ute lineup after the similarly sized CX-3 was discontinued in 2022. The next larger model is the compact CX-5. The CX-30 shares a platform and some components with the Mazda 3, a compact sedan.
Mazda sells the CX-30 in a wide range of trims, which correspond not only to equipment levels but also to the included engine. Most trims employ a 186-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder, including the base version (also known as the 2.5 S), the mid-tier Select, the well-equipped Preferred, and the fully loaded Premium. Starting in 2021, Mazda added a 250-hp turbocharged version of that mill to the mix. It’s included on the mid-level Turbo, the luxe Turbo Premium, and the range-topping Turbo Premium Plus. Turbo models also get standard all-wheel drive, which was otherwise optional until the 2022 model year, when it became standard across the lineup. All versions utilize a standard six-speed automatic transmission.
All CX-30 trims come with adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, forward collision mitigation, and an 8.8-inch infotainment display as standard equipment. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto also became standard in 2021. Buyers must step up to the Select and above trims for blind-spot warning and dual-zone automatic climate control. The Preferred and Turbo trims add heated front seats and a sunroof, while the Premium and Turbo Premium further offer leather upholstery, navigation, upgraded Bose audio, and a power liftgate. A surround-view camera is limited to the highest trim, the Turbo Premium Plus.

I would tell them it is well made by a reputable company, but that there are no door handle wells for small items and that sucks. But overall it is a great , sexy looking car for the price .

Always liked Mazda's, have had good experiences with them, current CX30 is a very good car so far (only driven 2800 miles since June because of Covid!).

Many features but only some were important to me. It offers AWD system making winter travel in temperate climes safe & convenient.

The only issue with the vehicle that I have is that the front doors are higher than expected in relation to where the windows start. If you are short , it is difficult to rest your arm and it decreases visibility.

Love my CX-30. 2 things I don't like about it: no CD player .The rear door open/close button on the key..too easy to accidentally hit that Lift button and open up rear door!!! Bad design.

I've owned Mazda for the past 4 years and I am very happy with the brand and the vehicle performance and technology offerings.
