Jaguar F-TYPE
The F-Type is the spiritual successor to Jaguar’s iconic E-Type from the 1960s. Its sleek design and thrilling performance have made it a popular choice among driving enthusiasts. Owners of the F-Type praise its raucous engines, sharp handling, and extroverted style. However, some drawbacks include a relatively cramped cabin and limited cargo space, especially in the convertible. Against rivals such as the Porsche 911 and Chevrolet Corvette, the Jag stands out with its British flair and a broad lineup of powertrains, which range from turbocharged four-cylinders to supercharged V8s. Overall, the F-Type is a compelling choice for anyone who wants a sports car with head-turning good looks and the performance to back it up.

Jaguar F-TYPE Model Lineup
The Jaguar F-Type is a luxury sports car available as either a coupe or a convertible. The two-seater serves as the brand’s flagship sports car. Since its 2014 introduction, it has seen just a single generation, with a significant 2021 facelift featuring refreshed styling, updated technology, and a simplified engine lineup.
Throughout its production, the F-Type has been offered in a range of trims. In earlier versions, they include the base model, the sportier S, and the high-performance R and SVR. In 2019, the automaker revamped the lower end of the lineup, switching to numerical trim names that include the P300, P340, and P380, each with a corresponding horsepower rating. In terms of features, the F-Type comes well-equipped. Since 2019, automatic emergency braking and lane-keeping assist have been standard active safety features. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration also debuted in 2019 and became standard the following year.
Under the hood, the F-Type offers a variety of powertrains. The entry-level engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder making 296 horsepower (dubbed P300), which first appeared in 2018. It pairs with an eight-speed automatic that routes power to the rear wheels (only). A 3.0-liter supercharged V6 is also available in a range of outputs, including 340-hp and 380-hp versions. They can be fitted with either an eight-speed automatic or a six-speed manual gearbox, which was offered through the 2019 model year. They also offer optional all-wheel drive. At the upper end of the range is a 5.0-liter supercharged V8, which comes on the R and SVR trims and produces between 550 and 575 hp, depending on the year and trim. It pairs exclusively with the eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive.
In 2022, Jaguar simplified the engine lineup, dropping the four- and six-cylinders in favor of a less powerful version of the supercharged V8. Dubbed the P450, it produces 444 hp and comes with an eight-speed automatic and either rear- or all-wheel drive.

Excellent vehicle - it makes me want to find "long cuts" - not short cuts

2014 Jaguar F-Type S V8
I would definitely improve on the "basic" sound system of the F Type S convertible. If I could do it all over again knowing what I now know about the sound system I would have paid the extra money for the upgrade. Although people complain about it as well.

Exceeded my expectations in terms of quality, performance and design. If Jaguar continues to make cars like this, I will definitely purchase many more. The perception of this brand has changed significantly over the past few years -- in a very positive way.

2014 Jaguar F-Type S
Need to update its technology, the technology on certain features like the reverse camera and navigation screen is not the latest, is outdated, need to update the radio system, it needs automatic speed volume, the gas cap doesn't lock, it has no pin, need to paint more sporty colors like yellow and have more roof color choices. Need to have a stick shift and all wheel drive, need to improve the quality of interior materials, the Jaguar brand is not associated with "plastic and rubber" parts and panels.

My first Jaguar was a 1963 XKE Coupe which was a work of art. I believe my new F Type continues that tradition.
