Jaguar E-PACE

If you’re looking for something a little different in a subcompact luxury crossover, consider the Jaguar E-Pace. It stands out from more common models, such as the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA, thanks to its sophisticated style and deft balance of comfort and performance – traits it shares with far more expensive models in the Jaguar lineup. Owners of the E-Pace rate it highly in these areas as well as for its elegant and well-appointed interior. On the downside, the baby Jag does get some flak from owners due to its relatively high price, lackluster fuel economy, and cramped back seat.

Jaguar E-PACE Model Lineup

The E-Pace is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV that seats up to five people. It’s the smallest sport-ute in Jaguar’s lineup, measuring about 14 inches shorter than the next larger model, the compact F-Pace. The E-Pace shares a platform and some components with the Range Rover Evoque, which is made by Jaguar’s sister company.

The E-Pace offers a choice of two available engines. Models with P250 badging employ a 246-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, while those badged as P300 utilize a more potent version of that same mill, which produces 296 hp. Both versions get a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. The P300 gained a mild-hybrid system in 2021, which provides a slight improvement in overall performance.

Through the 2020 model year, the E-Pace was offered in four main trims: the base version (also called Standard), the mid-level S, the well-equipped SE, and the top-of-the-line HSE. These were revised in 2021 to the entry-level P250, the mid-tier P250 SE, and the range-topping P300 Sport. Standard features include LED headlights, parking sensors, lane-keeping assist, and forward collision mitigation. The infotainment system debuted with a 10.0-inch center touchscreen and gained standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration in 2020; it was further upgraded to an 11.4-inch touchscreen in 2021. Notable options include blind-spot warning, adaptive cruise control, heated front seats, and an adaptive suspension.

It is a FUN ride! It goes so fast, so be careful you don't get a speeding ticket! It's very quiet, & has a lot of nice technical features.
