Hyundai Veloster
Introduced in 2011, the Hyundai Veloster is a sporty compact hatchback that stands out in the segment thanks to its funky styling, fun-to-drive demeanor, and unique three-door design, which aids access to the rear seats. Under the hood, it offers both naturally aspirated and turbocharged four-cylinder engines that range in output from about 140 horsepower for base models to as much as 275 ponies in the high-performance N variant. Inside, the Veloster features a relatively roomy and well-equipped cabin that includes a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility (since 2016). However, the Veloster does have a few drawbacks. For instance, its rear-seat headroom and cargo space aren't as generous as the leaders in this class. Additionally, its suspension is tuned more for sport than for comfort, which some might find unpleasant in everyday driving. Buyers should also note that in 2022, Hyundai discontinued all versions except for the top-tier Veloster N.

2014 Hyundai Veloster 3 Door Coupe
Ride quality harsh, however handling is good. Soften the suspension, offer dual-clutch automated manual in the turbo version. 6 speed automatic in the turbo Veloster hunts gears a lot and upshifts too quickly.
