The Hyundai Azera strikes an impressive balance between delivering a smooth, composed ride and steady, confident handling. The Azera's six-speed automatic transmission has also earned high marks for the way it effortlessly switches gears depending on demand from the driver.

'Limited' may be a misnomer in this instance, as the Azera actually comes with only one engine option -- a 3.3 liter V6. Though this offering is fairly robust compared to most sedans in its class, it doesn't do much in terms of accommodating individuals who are seeking something that's a little more economical.

Cabin Materials

Though the Azera's interior appears upscale and refined to the naked eye, the truth is that the materials that compose the cabin area leave a little to be desired. In fact, these plastic materials have been described as 'cheap' and 'brittle' by folks who have spent a fair amount time driving Azeras around.

Breaking Ability

First of all, it's important to note that the Azera received very good safety scores from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) across the board. However, it's worth noting that in Edmunds brake testing, the Azera came to a complete stop from 60 mph in 126 feet; a slightly below average distance for the segment.
