Impressive Ride Quality

The Hyundai Azera strikes an impressive balance between delivering a smooth, composed ride and steady, confident handling. The Azera's six-speed automatic transmission has also earned high marks for the way it effortlessly switches gears depending on demand from the driver.

Quiet, Spacious Cabin

The front seats on the Azera come with terrific adjustability capabilities, allowing for the driver to find a seating position that suits his or her fancy. It should also be noted that the front seats are perforated, enabling the seat to be heated or cooled depending on the driver's preference. Passenger legroom in both the front and rear is also a bonus on the Azera.

Tremendous Trunk Space

Hauling all your gear (within reason) has been made easy thanks to the Azera's tremendous trunk space offerings. With 16.3 cubic feet of a storage space available in the trunk, the capacity provided by the Azera is close to segment leading.

Engine Options

'Limited' may be a misnomer in this instance, as the Azera actually comes with only one engine option -- a 3.3 liter V6. Though this offering is fairly robust compared to most sedans in its class, it doesn't do much in terms of accommodating individuals who are seeking something that's a little more economical.

Cabin Materials

Though the Azera's interior appears upscale and refined to the naked eye, the truth is that the materials that compose the cabin area leave a little to be desired. In fact, these plastic materials have been described as 'cheap' and 'brittle' by folks who have spent a fair amount time driving Azeras around.

Breaking Ability

First of all, it's important to note that the Azera received very good safety scores from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) across the board. However, it's worth noting that in Edmunds brake testing, the Azera came to a complete stop from 60 mph in 126 feet; a slightly below average distance for the segment.

2014 Hyundai Azera

I love my new Hyundai Azera. It is the perfect car for me. Had Infiniti still made the i35, I might have bought another one. But they discontinued it, and the Azera is far and away the closest thing to it, but I like it even better.
