Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid

The Pacifica Hybrid combines the utility of a minivan with the efficiency of a hybrid – a plug-in hybrid, no less, with over 30 miles of all-electric range. Add in a feature-rich and upscale interior (especially on higher trim levels), and it’s a winning combination. In addition to its excellent fuel economy, this hybrid people-mover also gets raves from owners for its comfortable ride, plush first and second-row seats, and overall roominess. On the downside, it draws some complaints for a less-than-cushy third row as well as the inability to fold the rear seats into the floor, where the battery pack is stowed.

Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Model Lineup

The Pacifica Hybrid is a plug-in hybrid variant of Chrysler’s top-selling minivan, the Pacifica. Unlike the non-hybrid Pacifica, which offers a stowable second-row bench, the Pacifica Hybrid features second-row captain's chairs, capping seating at seven passengers. It’s the only plug-in hybrid model in Chrysler’s lineup of vehicles.

Since 2018, Chrysler has offered the Pacifica Hybrid in four main trims: the entry-level Touring (originally called Touring Plus), the mid-range Touring L, the well-equipped Limited, and the luxe Pinnacle, which first appeared in 2021. Prior to that, the mid-tier Premium and top-level Platinum were the only two choices (equating roughly to the Touring L and Limited models that followed). All versions come relatively well equipped with standard features, including rear parking sensors, three-zone automatic climate control, and a blind-spot warning system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration became standard in 2018. With the model’s 2021 refresh, Chrysler added a host of standard driving aids, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, and lane-departure warning, all of which had previously been limited to upper trim levels.

Under the hood, the Pacifica Hybrid utilizes a 3.6-liter V6 engine paired with two electric motors and a 16-kWh battery pack. Together, they deliver up to 260 horsepower (combined) to the front wheels (only) via a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). On a full charge, the battery pack provides up to 33 miles of all-electric range and can be refilled in about two hours using a 240-volt household outlet.

It is really fun to drive for a minivan. The electric gives it a lot of pickup when it has a charge.

2017 Chrysler Pacifica Platinum Hybrid Plug-in

I tell everyone that the PHEV Pacifica is a very flexible platform for carrying one to 7 passengers and/or lots of cargo. Plus its fuel efficiency is terrific. Charging mine every night, I have traveled 5,000 miles and only purchased 27 gallons of gas. There is no other vehicle which can match that at any price. It is the socially responsible vehicle to buy.

2017 Chrysler Pacifica Platinum Hybrid (Plug-in)

This maybe the best minivan out there. Drives really quiet and smooth with excellent pickup and also the best fuel efficiency for a minivan. Can easily get around 30 miles in hybrid mode and also 35 miles in pure electric. given it is a hybrid car you are looking at spending very little money on maintenance. Also only minivan with a panoramic sunroof . This is truly innovative product and a no brainer for families to buy.

2017 Chrysler Pacifica Platinum Hybrid Plug-in

Superior ride quality, engineering, and materials. State of the art safety and driving options. Plainly the best vehicle of its kind available in the market right now. Compare all the alternatives, the obvious choice is very apparent.

2017 Chrysler Pacifica Platinum Hybrid Plug-in

The Pacifica doesn't have a switch that allows you to use gas on the highway and save the battery for city driving. This is a major flaw.
