When in ''HOLD'' mode, it doesn't appear to charge any more than needed to maintain the mode. Would think it would charge at least some extra to increase battery range when returning to NORMAL mode.

The Volt is a terrific new approach to automotive engineering, magnificently executed by GM, delivering a high-quality, moderate-luxury, high performing and extremely positive owning and driving experience. I'm glad we got it. Hopefully the battery will give us good life.

I love getting in my Chevy Volt to drive to work or running my daily errands. The way it handles and accelerates in sports mode is so much fun! Just knowing you are saving money on gas gives me a real sense of freedom to go where I want, when I want. I have not had one second of buyer's remorse with my Volt. I highly recommend this car to anyone looking for an electric car. The styling of the exterior and interior is really what first attracted us to the volt versus the ugly hybrids. We also like the fact it runs on all-electric.
