Cadillac XT6
The XT6 offers much of the bling of Cadillac’s flagship SUV, the Escalade, but in a smaller and more affordable package. Owners of the three-row luxury crossover praise it not just for its attractive styling but also for its comfortable ride and car-like handling. On the downside, the XT6’s standard third row draws criticism for less-than-generous sizing and also for eating into available cargo space. Additionally, fuel economy, especially from the optional V6 engine, is merely average for the class.

Cadillac XT6 Model Lineup
The XT6 is a midsize luxury crossover SUV with three rows and seating for up to seven people. It’s one of the larger sport-utes in Cadillac’s lineup, measuring about nine inches longer than the two-row XT5 (on which it’s based) and about a foot shorter than the full-size Escalade, the luxury automaker’s largest model.
Cadillac offers the XT6 in three main trims: the entry-level Luxury, the well-equipped Premium Luxury, and the performance-oriented Sport. The Caddy offers a generous level of standard features, including automatic climate control, a power liftgate, heated front seats, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Forward collision mitigation, lane-keeping assist, and parking sensors are also included, as is a blind-spot warning system as of 2022. Adaptive cruise control is optional.
Under the hood, the XT6 employs one of two available engines. The Luxury trim, which first appeared in 2021, utilizes a 237-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder, while the Premium Luxury and Sport trims are upgraded to a 310-hp V6. Both engines pair with a standard nine-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is optional for all but the Sport trim, which includes it gratis and also adds a torque-vectoring rear differential for sharper handling. The XT6 currently offers no hybrid or electric variants.
