Cadillac CT4
In the highly competitive class of compact luxury sedans, the Cadillac CT4 doesn’t quite match segment leaders such as the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. However, that doesn’t make the CT4 an also-ran. Imbued with sharp handling, attractive styling, and responsive acceleration, the small Caddy knows how to get the blood pumping. Yet owners do bemoan a few of its qualities, including some subpar cabin materials and a disappointing level of rear-seat comfort and interior storage space.

Cadillac CT4 Model Lineup
The CT4 is a compact luxury sedan with seating for five. It replaced the ATS in 2020 as the smallest sedan in Cadillac’s lineup, measuring roughly six inches shorter than the midsize CT5. The CT4-V Blackwing is a high-performance variant, which is reviewed separately.
Cadillac offers the CT4 in four trims: the entry-level Luxury, the mid-tier Premium Luxury, the engaging Sport, and the performance-themed V-Series (also known as CT4-V). All versions provide a host of standard features, including an 8.0-inch center touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Forward collision mitigation also became standard in 2021, while blind-spot warning, lane-departure warning, and a wireless charging pad followed in 2022 (and were previously optional). Some notable tech and safety options include adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, a surround-view camera, and Super Cruise, Cadillac’s semi-autonomous driving system. Likewise, heated and ventilated seats, leather upholstery, and a sunroof are optional creature comforts.
The majority of trims in the CT4 lineup are powered by a 237-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Premium Luxury trim gets an upgrade to 310-hp 2.7-liter turbo four-cylinder paired with a 10-speed automatic. Those who opt for the sporty V-Series also get the 2.7-liter engine but with a 15-hp boost in output. Regardless of trim level, the CT4 offers a choice between rear- and all-wheel drive. No hybrid or electric variants have been offered.
