Cadillac ATS-V

Graced with a mighty twin-turbo V6 engine, Brembo high-performance brakes, and attractive styling inside and out, the Cadillac ATS-V is a worthy challenger to esteemed rivals such as the BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C63. Though now discontinued, the ATS-V never faltered in its ability to deliver thrills behind the wheel during its abbreviated production run (2016-2019). On the downside, some owners have voiced their displeasure with the ATS-V in a few areas, including its cramped rear seat, lackluster fuel economy, and high cost of ownership.

Cadillac ATS-V Model Lineup

The ATS-V is a high-performance variant of Cadillac’s compact luxury car, the ATS. Available either as a five-seat sedan or a four-seat coupe, it’s the smallest high-performance vehicle in Cadillac’s “V” lineup, measuring roughly a foot shorter than its midsize sibling, the CTS-V. Cadillac discontinued the ATS-V in 2020 and replaced it two years later with the all-new CT4-V Blackwing.

Cadillac offered the ATS-V in a single, well-equipped trim. Standard equipment includes Brembo performance brakes, an adaptive sport suspension, front and rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, heated front seats, wireless smartphone charging, a rearview camera, and an 8.0-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Notable options include a sunroof, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, and forward collision warning. Adaptive cruise control was never offered.

A 464-horsepower 3.6-liter turbocharged V6 powers the rear-wheel-drive ATS-V, and buyers have the choice between a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. No hybrid or electric variants were ever offered.
