BMW 3 Series

The BMW 3 Series is a well-rounded compact executive car that has consistently been a top pick for those seeking a mix of luxury and performance. It's available in a variety of body styles and powertrains, including efficient four-cylinder options and more powerful six-cylinder versions, as well as plug-in hybrids. The car's handling is agile and sporty, making it a joy to drive on winding roads, yet it remains comfortable for daily commuting. The interior is finely crafted with high-quality materials, offering a plush and inviting atmosphere. There's ample space in the front seats, though rear-seat legroom can be tight for taller passengers. On the technology front, the 3 Series comes equipped with a sophisticated infotainment system and a host of active safety features. However, some rivals offer more standard equipment at a lower price point. The car's reliability ratings are average for a luxury car, and fuel economy varies based on the chosen engine but is generally strong for the segment.

Have driven vehicle only 1,600 miles: 1. Low tire has come on twice. When this is on the screen, the radio station does not change even though the screen says it has. It is a lot of trouble to check the air pressure. 2. Front floor mat comes loose, moves forward and bunches up under the pedals. Twice so far. 3. Transmission locked for no apparent reason. Fortunately I was in a place where I didn't have to move immediately. Turning the car off and starting it again finally freed it. 4. Very difficult to cancel turn signals manually after changing lanes. Tolerance is too small. 5. Logic of buttons and controls is not always apparent to me. It takes too much concentration to operate controls while driving. Sometimes I just give up and do without the item until I can pull over and try to remember how it works. It is not necessary to have three different sets of controls for a radio. 6. Stop / Start feature. There is a light above the off button. Is the feature on or off when the little light is on? This should be obvious, not an item to remember. 7. When back windows are open, the wind buffering is extreme to a point of being intolerable.

I had a rock hit my window and crack it. This is my third BMW, and this has happened to all of them. I believe the glass is too soft.

We wish the driver's and passenger's seats could be raised higher. At their highest point it is still difficult to see in front of the hood/grille. We wish that the side view mirrors were larger. It is difficult to check the vehicle's sides without also having to triple check by turning your head again and again. Slightly larger mirrors would give an added sense of security by allowing the driver to confirm space around the vehicle with little effort. We wish that there was more room around the hand brake. We are constantly hitting our knuckles when reaching for it. We wish that the radio would turn off when shutting the car off. We do not want to have to lock our doors to do this because locking the doors also reprograms the seats/car key settings to the driver, which is annoying when all you want to do is to turn off the radio before walking away.
