About Us
ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, currently operates over 50 locations throughout the U.S. Our auto auctions, some up to 200 acres, provide a wide array of vehicle services that surround our wholesale vehicle remarketing efforts, including retail and wholesale reconditioning, transportation, keys, data analytics, and many of our sites serve as market hub distribution centers for Carvana. We remarket hundreds of thousands of vehicles across North America from Dealers, Commercial Lenders, Manufacturers & more. We work in a service industry and embrace a “we” versus “I” culture - help others, and they will help you. Our industry is fun, fast-paced, and competitive, and filled with the best people who are passionate about what they do. We’re also excited about the future! As an industry leader, ADESA is poised for expansion, including investments in facilities, sales growth, and an ever-increasing growth in customer inventory of vehicles for us to remarket! We are looking for great people who want to take this journey with us!
Role and Team
We are seeking a highly organized, results-oriented Process Manager, Sales Operations to join the ADESA Sales Operations team in Tempe, AZ. This role is the dedicated owner of cross-functional process and change management for ADESA’s sales organization — the single point of intake for the process and system changes that affect Sales, Sales Operations, and our sellers. The Process Manager translates business needs into clear requirements, drives the projects that deliver them, and ensures every change is documented, communicated, and adopted, while accounting for its impact across customers, sales teams, and auction operations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the single point of intake and ownership for sales-side process and system-change requests — scoping, prioritizing, setting timelines, and driving them through to adoption.
- Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, Product, Operations, Central Operations, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and IT to gather and document requirements, identify dependencies and risks, and represent the business for features, enhancements, and projects.
- Review proposed features, enhancements, and projects; surface open questions and gaps and drive them to resolution on behalf of the sales organization.
- Drive sales-side projects that result in process changes end to end — from kickoff through rollout, communication, and reinforcement.
- Own change management for the sales organization: assess operational impact, plan rollouts, sequence dependencies, and reinforce adoption.
- Create, standardize, and maintain sales operations documentation, SOPs, and knowledge-management resources on a centralized platform accessible across teams.
- Extract institutional knowledge from individuals and transition processes to their correct long-term owners.
- Draft process-change communications — emails, call scripts, FAQs, and talking points — and coordinate with Marketing on customer-facing changes.
- Represent the voice of the customer and the field in requirements and design discussions.
- Track completion and confirm adoption of changes across the field.
- Identify process inefficiencies and drive automation or workflow improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years in process management, project/program management, business analysis, change management, or operational roles supporting sales, operations, or cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to run process or change initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with experience creating operational documentation, SOPs, and workflow processes.
- Effective organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to understand how process and system changes impact external customers, internal sales teams, and auction operations.
Beneficial Skills:
- Lean Six Sigma, Business Process Management (BPM), change management (Prosci), PMP, or Agile/Scrum experience.
- Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet, Tableau, Salesforce, AMS, or AutoIMS.
- Background in wholesale automotive, auction, or marketplace operations.
- Familiarity with AI tools for process automation, data analysis, or communication.
