About the team and position
The Current Schedules Manager role is an integral part of our Fulfillment Centralized Scheduling and Planning Team, focused on supporting the Market Operations Department. This position provides a unique opportunity to lead and mentor a dedicated team of analysts in managing and optimizing the operations schedule that sees the movement and delivery of thousands of cars nationwide. As a manager, you will foster a positive team culture and play a key role in designing and optimizing our scheduling strategy. This position offers a challenging yet rewarding environment for those passionate about resource management and customer satisfaction.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of analysts in the refinement, monitoring, and coordination of changes to our market operations schedules, which enable our team members to deliver vehicles to our customers nationwide.
  • Manage current schedule efficacy to maximize system objectives for quality, speed, cost, and customer delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to innovate internal products, troubleshoot intricate resource planning issues, and streamline workflows.
  • Supervise real-time changes to the operation schedule to minimize customer impacts.
  • Actively examine network planning trends and implement strategies to improve network health and prevent constraints. 
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Establish clear expectations for team members and ensure accountability through the provision of consistent, meaningful feedback.
  • Provide updates to senior leadership regarding team performance, key projects, and the team’s impact on department goals.

What you should have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as supply chain, engineering, operations, or STEM.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Preferred experience using SQL, scheduling software, demand modeling, transportation management systems, or geographic information systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Professional and courteous interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of driving results with ambiguous data.
  • Capable of maintaining high-quality content under high volume, fast-paced conditions.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills for complex issues.
  • Comfortable working in an office environment and using computers extensively.
  • Flexibility to work variable schedules as needed.
