Carvana Text Message Terms and Conditions
Additionally, you verify that you are the current subscriber or owner of any telephone number that you provide to Carvana. You are strictly prohibited from providing a phone number that is not your own. If we discover that any information provided in connection with your account registration is false or inaccurate, we may suspend or terminate your account at any time. Should any of your contact information change, including ownership of your telephone number(s), you agree to immediately notify us before the change goes into effect by opting out, in accordance with the instructions in Section C below.
For purposes of these Terms and Conditions, “opt in,” “opting in,” and “opt-in” refers to requesting, joining, agreeing to, enrolling in, signing up for, acknowledging, or otherwise consenting to receive one or more text messages from Carvana. “Carvana Texting Service” refers to any arrangement or situation in which Carvana sends (or indicates it may send or receives a request that it send) one or more text messages via a short code or long code. “Carvana” refers to Carvana Co. and its affiliates or subsidiaries.
Subscribers to the Carvana Texting Service have provided express written consent to receive recurring messages from Carvana via our short codes listed below, while understanding that consent is not a condition of service from Carvana, and that message and data rates may apply. Frequency of messaging may vary.

A. Opting In
By voluntarily providing your telephone number and opting in to a Carvana Texting Service:
- You consent to receiving calls or texts about products, services, offers, and promotions and/or your relationship with Carvana to the cell phone number associated with your opt-in (i.e., the number listed on the opt-in form or instructions, or, if none, the number from which you send the opt-in, or if none, the number on file for the account associated with your opt-in) made by, or on behalf of, Carvana, using an automated technology. You also authorize Carvana to include marketing content in any such messages. You do not have to opt in to sell to or purchase from Carvana.
- You are signing your opt-in to the Carvana Texting Service.
- You confirm that you are the subscriber to the relevant phone number or that you are the customary user of that number on a family or business plan and that you are authorized to opt in.
- You consent to the use of an electronic record to document your opt-in.
- You acknowledge and agree that you are eighteen (18) years of age or older.
After opting in, in addition to the main messages the service offers, you may receive one or more welcome messages or administrative messages, such as a request to confirm your opt-in.
If you previously opted out, as instructed below, and would like to opt in again, you may text UNSTOP, SUBSCRIBE, RESUBSCRIBE, UNQUIT, or RESUME in order to continue to receive messages. You may also login to your Carvana account and update your preference settings.
B. About Carvana Texting Services
Although Carvana Texting Services are complimentary, message and data rates may apply. Unless otherwise noted, Carvana Texting Services may consist of multiple, recurring messages. Carvana reserves the right to alter the frequency at any time.
You agree that the Carvana Texting Services may contain information of a personal nature, including (but not limited to) appointment information and finance application results, and whoever has access to the mobile phone or carrier account will also be able to see this information. You acknowledge and understand that messages are sent without encryption.
Carvana does not knowingly or purposefully engage in the direct selling of customer phone number or other related short code data for the purposes of direct third party marketing to Carvana customers without customers’ express consent, including for the purpose of direct marketing campaigns banned by carriers, such as Debt Forgiveness, Work and Investment Opportunities, and/or other similar campaigns.
C. Opt Out and Help
For Carvana Texting Services, you can get help by texting HELP, and you can opt out at any time by texting STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT in response to any text message from Carvana. For Carvana Texting Services operated through a different number, text HELP to that number for help and STOP to that number to opt out. Your opt-out request may generate either a confirmation text or a texted request to clarify the Carvana Texting Service to which it applies (if you have more than one). To complete your opt-out, please provide the requested clarification.
D. Mobile Carriers
Supported mobile carriers may change from time to time. Participating carriers include, but are not limited to: AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, Alltel, Boost Mobile, Nextel, and Virgin Mobile.
Please note that the supporting mobile carriers may change without notice, and the Carvana Texting Service you opt in to, including those operated through a different number, may be limited to specific carriers. Carvana and the mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
You agree to indemnify Carvana for any privacy, tort or other claims, including claims under the Federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act or any state law equivalents, including claims relating to your voluntary provision of a telephone number that is not owned by you and/or your failure to notify us of any changes in your mobile telephone number. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold Carvana harmless from and against any and all such claims, losses, liability, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees).
F. Changes to these Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions may be updated by Carvana at any time without prior notice. You acknowledge your responsibility to review these Terms and Conditions from time to time and to be aware of any such changes. By continuing to be enrolled in any Carvana Texting Service, or by providing your cell phone number for transactional, operational, promotional, or informational text messages, you agree to any changes.
You warrant and represent to Carvana that you have all necessary rights, power, and authority to agree to these Terms and Conditions and perform your obligations hereunder, and nothing contained in this these Terms and Conditions or in the performance of such obligations will place you in breach of any other contract or obligation. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms and Conditions will otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable.
