- Erin C.MAR 18, 20172014 Nissan PathfinderCypress, TXI strongly dislike going to dealerships; I truly despise car salesmen. My husband had a great experience at a smaller lot a couple of years ago so naturally, I gave them a ring first during my car buying journey. They did have what I was looking for; however, the salesman asked that I give him a couple of hours to work out financing before I drive the hour to the lot. I saw a commercial for Carvana and thought, "What could it hurt?" The website is super easy to navigate and I easily found what I was looking for in a vehicle. I especially liked the personal financing option that showed me exact figures right there in black and white. No hassle of negotiation (I know some folks enjoy that, I do not) and no hidden or made up costs to pad a salesman's pocket. The best part: they deliver right to my driveway...for FREE! I completed the checkout process with ease and signed my documents electronically. Did I really just buy a car online? Yeah, I did! While my car was delayed a couple of days due to inclement weather, I was promptly notified and compensated fairly. The customer advocates are the kindest people on this planet, great job guys! Walter was ten minutes early to my scheduled delivery time and very friendly. He asked if I had any questions about my vehicle or the terms; he took the time to make sure that I understood my rights and that I was informed. Carvana makes purchasing a vehicle virtually effortless...highly recommend to everyone that I talk to!Read More5.0 OUT OF 5
- Wayne S.FEB 6, 20172014 Dodge JourneyFranklinton, NCI'm still in the 7 day trial period for the car. The car is very comfortable to drive and handles great on the road. Overall its a very nice car, but and it's a big but, I have some issues that Carvana should have addressed before they delivered the car. The rear tires were new. The front tires were worn to a point that they needed to be replaced. Carvana agreed to replace the tires. The front floor mats should have been replaced. The "JOURNEY" white name was dull and the mats are a bit tattered. I'm going to have the brakes checked tomorrow. I'll reserve my final opinion until after the 7 day trial period is over.Read More3.3 OUT OF 5
- Andria A.MAR 1, 20172014 BMW X3Charleston, WVThere are multiple issues that I have noticed since purchasing my vehicle a month ago. Carvana listing was inaccurate (wheel size, tire size, interior color were all incorrect). This is a big deal when you're making a major purchase online. Not sure what they check during their 150 point inspection, but my vehicle was overdue for routine maintenance and had to have an oil change. Luckily it is still under factory warranty and the oil change was covered. While I was at the local dealer having the oil changed, I was informed that my tires are not run flats, which are standard on this model. Problematic since the car has no spare or a flat repair kit. I bought my car in Atlanta, and flew 500 miles to pick up my new car. Carvana reimburses $200 toward your flight, which of course doesn't cover the cost of a coach airline ticket, but I did receive it at the time of purchase so at least I didn't have to wait for reimbursement. The website states that they will "arrange white glove transportation to pick you up at the airport and take you to our state-of-the-art Car Vending Machine" in Atlanta or Nashville. There is no vending machine in Atlanta. Big disappointment. I arrived late in the evening on the day prior to my appointment, and when I requested pickup at my hotel, just a few miles from their location and much closer than the airport, they reluctantly offered to reimburse me for Uber fare. Not exactly white glove service. The interior was fairly dirty and the back cargo area was covered in long white dog hairs. There were also white marks on the leather on both front doors that they hadn't even attempted to clean. So much for their claim of "detailed to pristine condition." When I mentioned this to their rep, he said they would give me $50 to have the car detailed. (You can't get a car detailed for $50. More like $200.) They gave me two $25 Visa gift cards. They typically give one $25 gift card with every purchase, so considering that I would have received one gift card anyway, I actually only received an extra $25. I took the car out for a test drive and we completely the paperwork quickly. I was told I would receive a phone call at the end of my 7 day test drive to ensure that all was well. I never got a call. While the rep I dealt with (they are adamant about not being car salesmen) was very nice, as well as everyone I spoke with on the phone prior to my purchase, they aren't very knowledgeable about the cars they are selling. Given that I had to have an oil change so soon after purchase and the car wasn't even clean when I picked it up, I suspect that the 150 point inspection is just advertising hype. It seems all they do is purchase used cars at auction and list them (inaccurately) online. There doesn't seem to be any maintenance or reconditioning happening. I'm still waiting on my license plate and registration.Read More2.8 OUT OF 5
- Zachary S.JUL 30, 20162013 Volkswagen PassatVilla Rica, GAWhen it's all said and done, I like the car I bought. Nearly every Carvana employee I spoke to directly was very friendly and helpful to the best of their ability. Purchase and financing was ridiculously easy. With that being said, there were some disappointing problems that left much to be desired from the overall buying experience. Carvana had to reschedule our delivery/pickup three times! We were offered a rental, but declined since we had our own vehicle to drive in the meantime. First there was an open recall (Takata airbag) that pushed back our delivery date. When I asked specifically about it, they tried to play it off as if it they had just found out about it in the time since I purchased the vehicle, even though the recall had been issued several months earlier. After several days, Carvana contacted us again to inform us that they couldn't make the repairs, which should not have been a surprise since there is not yet a remedy for the recall. After an entirely unnecessary delay, we were given the option to choose another vehicle or sign a waiver and accept the one we wanted with the open recall—we chose the latter. We rescheduled for pickup in Atlanta but were later notified that the vehicle would not be available on the day we scheduled. Was told the car was two hours away in Winder, GA. Then, we were contacted again that the car would not be there on time for this next rescheduled appointment. This time Carvana said the vehicle was on its way from Texas! After two weeks of weak excuses and conflicting information about why Carvana couldn't keep our appointments, I came very close to not purchasing the vehicle. There were several issues upon pickup as well. The detail was sub-par at best There were sections that missed being washed (very obvious on a white car). The fender wells were muddy. The floor mats were in the trunk but still had some muddy footprints that didn't get washed off. Two tires were mismatched off-brand tires. At least they were new, but I would have rather just had the money they spent on them to put towards a decent set. The gas tank was almost empty, but they did give us a prepaid visa giftcard to fill it up. Neither of the two key fobs for the car worked! At first I assumed dead batteries, but both had to be programmed to the car. Due to the technology features of the car, we were actually unable to lock the car the first day or two which was a bit of a problem. Luckily I was able reprogram the remotes on my own which avoided an inconvenient trip to the dealership. I'm sure Carvana would have reimbursed us for getting the keys programmed if it came down to it, but the problem is that someone along the way had to know that was an issue and passed it along to a customer anyway. Also we were supposed to transfer our old tag to this vehicle. This was specifically noted, and I sent in all the required documents to do so….Instead we got a new one in the mail a few weeks later. It's not the particular tag I wanted for the vehicle, but there was no extra cost because of it. Carvana is still a young company and will probably improve as time goes on—a hiccup along the way is forgivable, but all of this was too much. I don't regret buying the car, but I remain undecided for now as to whether or not I purchase another vehicle from Carvana.Read More3.5 OUT OF 5
- Merissa P.OCT 7, 20162013 Smart fortwoSarasota, FLAfter seeing the commercials I decided to have a look around their website. 30 minutes later I had decided on a car, secured financing, and uploaded a few documents and picked my delivery date. Viola, just bought a car in my pajamas. Prices were very fair and comparable. Mine was approximately 700 under Blue Book. good selection of cars to choose from and good website filters to help you sort through them all. A week later the car pulled in looking beautiful. Detailed top to bottom. Cute gift bag and thank you card on the passenger set. Full tank of gas upon arrival and a few days later when I went to refill I found a $25 gift card taped onto the gas cap. Nice touch!! The delivery experience was great, the driver was involved with the entire process from gathering my paperwork to detailing the car and bringing it to me. The impressive part was he was able to answer questions on my financing, tag, and title. Didn't just dump the car and run. I've had deliveries before where the driver's standard response was "Call Customer Service" I was highly impressed and thrilled with the level of service provided. If I could give one piece of constructive criticism, it would be improving the pictures.on the website. The 360 spin is a nice feature and my vehicle looked better in person when it arrived. However, I was unable to zoom in to see specific details I was looking for on the interior 360 spin. I think some still pics possibly taken outside in more natural light rather than the all white room would provide better detail. Over all I had a great experience! I was so excited through the entire process, it was so quick and painless. Buying a pre-owned car does not have to be a battle anymore! Highly recommended, glad I chose to take the plunge and try Carvana! Keep up the good work!Read More5.0 OUT OF 5
- Keith M.FEB 5, 20152012 Honda CivicValdosta, GAI always hated salespeople and their constant babble intended to get more out of my pocket. Dealers just waste way too much of my valuable goofing off time. So I was happy to find a site where I could research, choose and buy a good used car within 30 minutes, have it delivered to my driveway on a truck and never have to speak to a single slick salesperson. My Credit Union financed it without a hitch, and the car came on time, with a nice driver, (Felicity) to guide me through signing all the legal papers on her tablet. In 20 minutes from her pulling up to my driveway, I owned a really pretty white 2012 Honda Civic LX. All the paperwork is filed on my computer as PDF's. This is the future of car buying. It was the best buying experience of my long (80 year) life.Read More5.0 OUT OF 5
- Vineeth J.JUL 31, 20152014 Chevrolet CamaroMilton, GAI had a comment on my recent purchase from Carvana. For background, I traded my 2011 Chevy Camaro RS for a 2014 Chevy Camaro LT Convertible. I am currently on the 7 day test period. Right off the bat, I would like to thank you for the excellent service and professionalism of the person who delivered it at our door step. Completely satisfied! I have a few concerns here I would like to address that I didn't have the last time I purchased a car from Carvana, to detail: 1. A lot of the Level 1 Imperfections / dings on the car were not shown on the initial photo capture on the website when I decided to purchase the vehicle, I am particularly unhappy with paint / adhesive that is over the front lights (it feels as if someone in the process of cleaning , touching up the car left a lot of residue back on the front bumper and the lights. I don't want to try and scrape it off and risk damaging the paint / headlilght plastic frame. Here is what I think Carvana couldn't stand to from the website: " Ours Cars aren't perfect but neither are we, but we promise to tell you the whole truth". The truth standards mentioned here have not been met in my opinion. 2. There are quite a few cuts and scrapes on the inside of the car that was not, again, highlighted on the pictures on the website. It looks very much like the car was very roughly used (which is fine, as I was already aware that it was owned by a rental co before but Step 3 of the Carvana Promise was not completed to perfection: From the Carvana website: From the Carvana Website: "Step 3: We verify that each vehicle has been repaired to meet our strict mechanical and cosmetic standards. Here, not only do we confirm that the engine and all safety systems are in good condition, we also perform a cosmetic inspection to make sure your vehicle looks as good as new. If there are any remaining imperfections on your vehicle, we tag them with a specific level so you'll always know exactly what you are buying.)." 3. The back seats still have dirt marks to where it needs to be shampooed and cleaned. Where Carvana has failed here: From the Carvana website: "PREMIUM DETAIL We spend more than $250 so that your car is looking as good as new. There are a lot of specifics that we won't list here (we wash, clean, buff, paint, polish, wax, seal), but trust us that when your car arrives, it's going to look sweet." 4. It seems like a lot of touch up has been done but not followed up with good polishing after, but in certain areas, it looks like the paint color is different vs. the rest of the vehicle. 5. There was dust all inside and between the convertible rods and on the sides. I had to clean and polish the entire thing before it started to look okay. 6. A lot of the plastic parts outside had a white tinge on it (not sure what it is), again, needs to be polished throughout. On the other side, if you look at the trade in I gave back in, I detailed the car, waxed and shampooed inside and outside to ensure I am returning the same kind of service I had received from Carvana the first time I bought it. I really want to recommend that Carvana not let its service levels drop in the interest of more business or more customers. I strongly suggest keeping the same levels of overall car cleanliness as we had come to expect when you guys first started, else you end up being like any other dealer out there. Again, overall really love Carvana and the service provided of selling cars at great rates online, with the added delivery services e.t.c, but this time around, I am not very happy with how the car was cleaned up / finished when it was brought in.Read More4.2 OUT OF 5

- Theodore M.NOV 15, 20152012 Honda CivicHouston, TXI bought a 2012 Honda Ex-L recently from Carvana. First car I ever bought on-line. I went to the Carvana website and everything was there to make a great purchase.360 views, highlights of dings and scratches and features of the vehicle identified like alloy wheels. The car was scheduled for delivery at my apartment at 10:00am and the rep called 9:30 to say the car will be there by 10 which it was. Even the car carrier bringing the Honda was impressive. It was a new model gleaming white with Carvana printed on the side with large, blue letters- sharp. Getting back to the car- it was super clean inside and out, a couple of scratches that were identified on the website were buffed out and gone.. The rep had me sign a few forms (ten minutes), took the car for a spin and I had a new (used) car. The rep emphasized to call Carvana for concerns or within 7 days I could even return it. All my questions were answered and the rep was fantastic. The result: This car is a keeper! I would definitely buy another car from Carvana. Everyone that I dealt with at Carvana was super. This company does it right! Thank you!Read More5.0 OUT OF 5
- Ronald L.FEB 14, 20162014 Jeep CompassIndianapolis, INBefore even considering buying through Carvana I did a ton of research. But the more I read about it, the more the research solidified the fact that this company seemed to be great! So I decided to look for a car. In comes the car of my dreams, a white 2014 Jeep Compass Latitude with a leather interior. I had a great financing rate and the right down payment, so I did it! I decided I would pick up my car in Nashville (not too far from where I live in Indianapolis!) I took the drive down there on 2/6/2016 and got to the vending machine. The experience was beyond anything I have ever experienced. I put my souvenir coin and here came my car down the vending machine! It looked amazing, polished and washed up. To my surprise once it got closer to the dock, I saw a red bow on the top of the hood!! (Wow, can you say above and beyond?! The day before was my birthday, so they did that just for that.) Once I got a few papers signed, I was able to explore the pristine car and opened up the back seat and even found a birthday gift, that had all types of things to keep my car clean!! TOTALLY above and beyond. I am delighted with this dealership and after a week with the car, I am still in love!Read More5.0 OUT OF 5
