I bought my car a week ago after having worked on the purchase for a number of weeks. There were some glitches in the processes of first, problems with the site having difficulty accepting my trade-in information and second, having a problem overlooked with the vehicle even though one that was identified was handled. Both incidents took extra time in completing the purchase. The second has made it necessary for me to go to the dealership for service which I had hoped to avoid.
The idea of purchasing the car online, avoiding dealerships and having it delivered to my door was most impressive. What was distinctive about the Carvana experience was way in which the problems were handled. Every advocate was apologetic, admitted the mistakes and set about fixing them as quickly as possible. Every advocate was also polite and respectful, which goes a long way with a senior citizen like myself who was leery about this process of buying a car.
I would give Carvana a 5 star rating for customer service and a 4 star for attention to detain in the pre-delivery inspection. Greater care in the latter area would improve ratings overall.
