Used Toyota with Manual

I looked high and low for a nice Corolla in good shape with low miles on it. I also wanted to have a manual, which is very hard to find. I actually found this car on Caravana and I was so thrilled that I was definitely taking it home after the test drive! With Carvana, I was able to look the car over thoroughly and was amazed that when I went to pick it up from the vending machine, it looked absolutely like it did when I viewed it from the internet. There were no disappointing surprises to find like when I would look at other cars from dealerships, their internet pictures only showed the good and there were other details and flaws that weren't laid out to you by their internet pictures. I also feel that I got a great price for this car. I had been looking for weeks and hadn't found another car in this condition for this price. It's like a new car, but with a used car price that was a deal. I'm getting the word out to others about Carvana. I'm so glad I didn't have to buy from a regular dealership and that there is this option out there for people shopping for cars.

Good: Car inventory, customer service, and price were outstanding! Nearly every time I spoke with a customer service rep, they were very very friendly. I was able to use my local credit union to finance which was great. Overall I got a much better deal than any local dealerships. I am very happy with the car itself, it is in excellent condition and mechanically on point. Bad: When I decided on my final vehicle there were technical issues and the website kept giving me errors. The first customer service rep I got was unable to help me fully and told me I would have to call back in the morning to make sure everything was still going smoothly - I thought this was odd. Upon calling back the following day they were able to fix the errors and proceed with the purchase. The pickup was set for the upcoming Saturday (3 days out from original purchase) which I thought was reasonable. However, they called me back to inform me that the vehicle had missed a pickup out of state and that the deliver would be set for the following Wednesday (7 days out from original purchase). I was very unhappy about this. When the vehicle was delivered I checked it over pretty thoroughly and discovered there was about 5 cups of water sitting at the bottom of the trunk where the spare tire sits. There was no carpet damage, but it seems like the water collected after they detailed the vehicle prior to delivery. I was shocked that they would overlook that amount of water sitting in the spare tire compartment. I was able to drain the water out and confirmed there was no damage. The car was missing the owners manual. The rep who delivered it was able to get me a PDF and stated that Carvana would mail me a hard copy after the 7 day test own. tl;dr: This was definitely NOT a stress-free buying experience from start to finish. There were little issues to work out every step of the way. The car itself is in amazing condition and is mechanically sound, however the website errors, multiple calls to the sales reps, delivery delay, and lack of thorough quality assurance checks prior to delivery were all things that should have been avoided.

We are mature buyers (70 + years. We were a little reluctant about trying this new age method for our purchase. However after realizing that i could save approximately $1,500.00 over dealer prices on a one year old car we decided to give Carvana a try. Guess what? It went very well. Carvana was responsive, answered the phone every time we called, and offered pricing that beat any dealership around. Car was delivered as described, clean, with a full tank of gas, and owners manual, ready to go. They were on time for delivery (10 minutes early) and the young lady who delivered the car to us out of the Phoenix office was personable, friendly, and helpful. Way to go Carvana. I will be sharing our positive experience with family and friends.

Or maybe you have decided that hunting on autotrader, KBB, cars.com or even Carmax isn't so bad. If you are truly masochistic, you will just go to dealerships and expect something reasonable—as if they have the slightest interest in you gaining an advantage during their commission conquest. Hopefully, you will find inner peace in Nir[cough] CARvana. In your quest to achieve release and liberation from rebirths, you may find yourself passing through or placed in these realms for a fleeting moment or an eternity: Heaven: There were no issues with the delivery. It even arrived 30 min early. The vehicle had the imperfection shown in the 360 tour... and many more not shown in the tour. They were covered with cheap touch up paint that you could buy from Walmart or any auto store. I decided to take the car for a spin anyways. I already had a route planned out that would test what I needed to from the vehicle. If you have decided to finance with them, actually GO financial, then your down payment will be withdrawn very soon after accepting the 7 day trial run. Mine was taken from the correct routing number, but wrong account (checking instead of savings). The trial run is not exactly 7 days, it is 7 business days from the time the vehicle is delivered, within a 400mi tolerance. Purgatory: When the listing says that a vehicle comes with one set of keys, check to make sure that it is actually a full set of keys or the actual key if one. Do yourself a favor and download the car manual before the car is even delivered. Read the manual from top to bottom. If you do not know what is missing from your car, they sure will not tell you. Took the car to be inspected. It checked out 100%. I noticed that the OEM floor mats were replaced with a very cheap and dangerous substitute. Dangerous according to the car manual. Used every resource to research the VIN. Vehicle was first leased in Florida. Auctioned from there, bounced around the NE [not driven] https://www.research.com/ . In this case, I got lucky with the car not being from a rust area. No signs of flooding or unreported accidents. Hades: If you discover which parts are missing from your vehicle or something is amiss, then you must confront the lord of darkness. Silver Rock Auto is the devil. They will do their utmost to not pay for anything. You will see them perform slimy acts most associate with deadbeats. They count on you giving up on what is just because they are so good at being so bad. When I saw them bring my car technician to tears, I couldn't stand it anymore. We did not give up, but no one should ever have to deal with people like this. I read that they are associated with DriveTime as well, so don't even think about it. In the end or reincarnation thereof, Carvana may not be like dealing with dealerships or KBB like sites, nevertheless, it still requires your utmost attention to detail to avoid getting hoodwinked.

The process was great but we were excited to get it and had a hard time waiting and we didn't have a owners manual in the car to figure out how to use the many features

Heard of CARVANA thru Clark Howard radio/ website in ATL. Used cars 1-3 years old, seem to be a better buy , as long as they are good, quality inspected cars. Going to the web-site was a start, navigating was not that difficult, don't rush it , go thru it all. Sometimes the difference of the price between Kelly Blue Bk was displayed; on Top of page next to asking price in my early searches (really great feature), then as I went back for more searching this feature was no longer appearing for comparison. Called and was told that I had to be logged-in due to my location. Well, logged in and the feature still not appearing, SO, for this I can't give top stars...Recommend going thru all the web-site, I discovered a missed feature after my purchase, very important info on my car; called and was taken care of, very good professional by call center. Driver called ahead & car delivered as scheduled. Car was cleaned good, not great, the front floor mats had a lot imbedded sand (car from Florida), full tank gas, oil changed & owners manual, as posted. Overall was impressed..

The purchase process was good and very hassle free. Once I got the vehicle I noticed right away that the front tires were a cheap no name brand tire and the rear were OE Michelin Primacy tires. Also I noticed it looked like the car just came from the beach. Sand was everywhere in the trunk and engine compartment. I voiced my concerns to the delivery guy and he said call this number and they are pretty good about taking care of their customers. I took to the dealership.and the first thing they said was you can't mix match the makes of tires it's not safe. They recommended replacing the 2 front and going back to the OE tires. I looked in the owners Manual which said the same thing. DO NOT USE DIFFERENT MAKES OF TIRES. I called Carvana voiced my concerns they said our guy said that it is fine to do that. So I am not sure where their guy knows more than the people who engineered the vehicle, the tire manufacturers of America (TMA) and the Tire industry of America (TIA) all of which say do not mix match tire makes but there guy is much more knowledgeable. Needless to say nothing was done for tires or the super clean cars they claim they have. Needless to say I kept the car because we don't have much avelons in my market and I needed a vehicle. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone else.

The entire process was a pleasure except for the last step: my car didn't come with the car manual and Carvana only sent an electronic copy (over 500 pages). Although reimbursements are offered for esthetics like car washing/detailing, none are offered for safety concerns, such as printing a missing car manual.

After searching for cars from local dealerships, I noticed a 2017 Toyota Avalon with less than 30,000 miles which looked interesting. I made the purchase and it arrived a day later than originally promised, not a big deal though. The license plate bracket did not have the correct screws, so I removed the bracket and used the provided screws. The paper license plate later tore off while driving, so I had to call to request a replacement, on a Friday afternoon. I was told the replacement temporary plate would arrive early the following week, but it arrived later in the week without any notice of its late arrival. By then I had purchased new license plate hardware and re-threaded the screws so as to not have the temporary plate tear off again. Later I received an email stating my car's registration had been processed and I would be receiving permanent plates. However, when the documentation arrived, it was another temporary plate, this time for my state, along with the title and registration. After waiting a week, I called Carvana and asked when the permanent plates were to arrive and was told it may be 5-10 business days after the registration was processed. Thankfully, the license plates arrived later that day. I called to ask about a missing Navigation and Multimedia System Owner's Manual and was told that since the car was used, if the manual was missing, one would not be provided. However, the Customer Service rep did send me a link to it. I like the convenience of shopping from home, having the car delivered as well as not having to go to the BMV to register the car. I do think Carvana's offer for my trade in was low, but am surprised they made an offer at all. Overall, I think my first online car buying experience was Good, not Excellent, but would consider using Carvana again for my next vehicle purchase.

My new car has lots of features and I have no idea how to use any of them.  The reason I bought a car from Carvana is I do not have much time in my daily life and certainly not to read a car Manual to figure out the features.  It would have been great if someone spent 30 min to go over all the car features. Additionally car some internal scratches that were not disclosed
