I had a midlife crisis, and bought a little 2-seater (new, from a regular local dealership) and traded in the old family sedan. After I got home, I remembered that my entire family can't fit in a little 2-seater --- not because they're big fat blobs or anything -- but because there's more than 2 of us. The only solution was to buy another car - something that the entire family can ride together in. And also the dogs. And maybe if I saw a free couch on the side of the road, I could have enough cargo space to snag a sweet free couch. Because I can't afford new furniture now that I've discovered I can buy cars online and they'll get delivered to my house, while I relax on the porch with a mint julep.
Long story longer, I set my budget, searched for cars on Carvana and other "traditional" dealerships, narrowed the selection down to a few choices, procrastinated, realized that people bought the cars I had been looking at after a couple weeks, searched for more cars, narrowed it down again, ate a grilled cheese sandwich, read a few more reviews on various websites of people's mostly positive Carvana experience, and bought something the entire family can ride together in, along with dogs, and possibly a free couch. (But probably not all at the same time.)
Overall - the car buying experience was just about perfect. The car itself was adequately (and accurately) described - no surprises there. I had to wait 6 days to get it delivered -- in the grand scheme of things that's pretty quick - but not as fast as driving it off the lot at a traditional dealership. The week-long 400 mile test drive was wonderful - until I had occasion to take a trip up into the mountains, full of twisting winding roads, perfect for a sporty 2-seater midlife crisis mobile. Instead, I took the new grocery-wagon, since I felt compelled to use up all 400 miles in a week, "just in case".
In summary, A++, would buy again.
