- Doris C.AUG 31, 20162015 Kia SportageLeander, TXWe bought our 2015 Kia just over a week ago. The whole experience from choosing the car on line to having it arrive at the exact time we requested, was great. Jake from Carvana delivered our Kia clean and shiny. We cannot be more pleased. The customer service was also excellent. I will never buy from a dealership again. :)Read More5.0 OUT OF 5
- Nathaniel G.AUG 5, 20162015 Kia Forte KoupHendersonville, TNDisclosure: The car I purchased was just delivered today, so this review is only of the purchase experience-although I will say that the car is in fantastic shape. Carvana has detailed pictures of the cars on their site and they were all extremely accurate. I've been car shopping for a while, going to dealerships and having to fight off aggressive salesmen with a stick. I found a car I wanted at a Ford dealership near me, but the financing they offered was at a ridiculous interest rate (12%). I checked my credit before I went car shopping and it was 710 but Ford told me since I had never had a car loan and owed some money in medical bills that was all they could offer. I tried a couple of other places and heard the same thing. I heard about Carvana through a friend who said that he had a great experience with them so I gave them a shot. I found a car I liked and bought it online...yes I bought a car online. Carvana saw my good credit and offered me a loan at 4.6%! I set up a time for them to deliver it to my apartment. I called them a couple of times and talked to a real person, and each time the Carvana rep was extremely friendly and helpful. They delivered the car on time, and once again the person who delivered the car (her name was Meredith, I'd also spoken to her when I called) was extremely friendly. I had signed most of the contracts online so it only took about 15 minutes to finish up the paperwork. They had already registered the car and taken it through MARTA testings for me (that could be normal, I've never bought a car from a dealership before). I was able to test drive the car before I accepted it, and I have a week to cancel the purchase with no penalty if I don't like it for any reason. That's awesome! They also have a 100 day warranty (as well as manufacturer's warranty), and on top of that their extended warranty was quite affordable so I opted in for that. The car was in pristine condition, and had a little goody bag in it with some Carvana swag including a t-shirt (somehow in my size...kinda spooky), and a nifty car-safe travel cup. Meredith handed me the keys and...I have a new car! I know I may sound like a shill right now, but *so far* my experience buying a car with Carvana has been pretty fantastic. I will update my review if anything goes South, but as of now I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a car. P.S. The car I got is a 2015 Kia Forte Koup EX with 15k miles on it for $14,000. So far I'm pretty impressed with Kia, the car drives great. P.P.S. I left this same review on Yelp, I copy pasted it here because I didn't feel like writing another long review.Read More4.8 OUT OF 5
- Arthur J.OCT 25, 20162015 Kia SedonaHyattsville, MDI recently purchased a 2015 Kia Sedona. I have twin boys and needed a good vehicle with enough space for everyone and all the stuff that comes with transporting the family. Other dealerships that had a similar car charged significantly more and had other fees that brought the cost too high. Carvana was able to beat all competitors prices by a good margin and do not have any processing fees, further saving me money. When the car was delivered I took it to my local mechanic for an inspection and my mechanic said I basically got a new vehicle with 30,000 miles. He was impressed. I have been very happy!Read More5.0 OUT OF 5
- Pratiti K.JAN 9, 20162014 Kia RioScottdale, GAMy experience with Carvana was quite disappointing. The car was delivered on the scheduled day December 16, 2015, with a dirty rear seat, several unmentioned scratches, and almost an empty tank. One scratch was deep and at least 3 feet long. I have no idea how that scratch can be unmentioned! Therefore, we sent the car back to clean it and fix two major scratches. The tentative delivery time was one week from that day. By this time, I was offered to have a rental car at the cost of Carvana. Till then it was not the best experience, however, it was okay. As I don't have a rental car insurance and Carvana won't cover the insurance, I did not take the rental car. The nightmare starts from here. Carvana failed to deliver the car before holidays. I received the car on January 6, 2016. It took them 3 weeks to deliver it and still they didn't fix everything. They did not fix one of those two scratches. There was a new scratch on the bumper cover. The car was not as shiny as before. What a disappointment! I have no idea how they can fail to fix two scratches in three weeks! That means they did not inspect it. Moreover, the tax on the car changed as the year changed and it was not changed in my contract papers. I would lose $157.50 if I did not check the tax myself. I had no car for three weeks, still the car was not fixed right, the car had new problems, and the tax was not right. After all these, all they had to offer me an apology. I had to ask them how they are going to compensate the delay and my frustration. One day later, they offered me $250 as compensation. Should I be happy? I don't think so. I just can't believe, they did not fix all the problems before delivering it to my home after taking three extra weeks! Such an ignorance! Just because of the customer advocates, I am giving two stars. Otherwise I would give one.Read More3.2 OUT OF 5
- Robin W.JAN 31, 20152013 Kia OptimaCharlotte, NCI brought my car just a day ago on 1/30/2015 and it's so beautiful even more so than I expected it, it runs great! My only issue is that during delivery as my car came off the lift a front bottom part of my car scraped the lift for what seemed like a life time so i feel like if this is a continuous problem that happens during delivery something should be done to prevent this like putting a thick padding so it doesn't happening but overall as long as everything continues to run smoothly I would definitely purchase another vehicle from carvana.comRead More4.7 OUT OF 5
- Sylvia S.APR 7, 20172015 Kia SportageJonesboro, GANo more seating in a car dealership for me! From selecting a car to the final purchase, Carvana is the future of purchasing a car. Literally it took one week for the entire process. On Sunday, I shopped online, submitted an application, submitted documents, and car was ready on Thursday. No sales person constantly calling to haggle over the price. Love my new 2015 Kia Sportage, it has all the bells and whistles!Read More5.0 OUT OF 5
- Leslie R.JAN 25, 20182015 Kia OptimaColumbia, SCI ordered a 2015 Kia Optima 1/3/18. Starting at the end of the first week, I missed a deadline and my process was started over. The deadline was very poorly communicated by Carvana staff otherwise I would not have missed it as I already had a check in hand from my credit union to Carvana for this vehicle. I emailed in the information Carvana needed and the process started over (with the vehicle delivery now another week out). The vehicle delivered 1/17/18. Ultimately, the vehicle could have been reserved by someone else already (maybe if it was a Toyota Camry those are in hot commodity) and then I would have had a check in hand for a vehicle I could no longer proceed with, be paying interest on it with my bank, and would have to start the search process all over again. But the Optima wasn't reserved by anyone else so I proceeded with purchasing the original vehicle . The vehicle was delivered at the expected day and time and looked good. On day 6, I had it inspected by a mechanic and it had some very serious issues: a broken rear support piece to the rear bumper, a broken/missing front end piece to the front bumper area, a leak in the vehicle trunk where the tail lamps were not properly sealed and leakage was coming from there into the trunk/rear area, and the engine oil was over full. I called immediately to advise Carvana of these issues and was asked to send over repair orders and estimates. I spoke to two people that day saying that they do have the ability to make an exception to ask SilverRock to authorize payment for these repairs since this is the condition I received the vehicle in. The body work comes to $724 and the leak repair and change to the oil level comes to $200. I called after I emailed those over because if Carvana isn't covering the repairs, I would have requested the vehicle be picked up as I would not be purchasing the vehicle. I was advised that they won't cover these issues as they fell into a "cosmetic" category. I do not think actual rear and front body damage is "cosmetic" (I'm not complaining about dents) and was very upset & frustrated because why then was I asked to obtain estimates and repair orders and running around for 2 days on my time to obtain this to send it over? I asked to speak with the supervisor who then told me that Carvana will cover them. I'm on the last day of my 7-day trial period and its 1/23/18. I can't tell you what a headache it's been to deal with Carvana. Carvana has a "no-hassle approach" of skipping the dealership and buying a car online but from my experience, it has been such a hassle to work with Carvana. There is no consistency in customer service; I speak with some great reps and some poor ones, some people with great communication and some with very poor communication. I think having one person as a case manager could help streamline this for customers. Also, I can't understand why I had to be upset and speak with a manager to get approval for vehicle repairs. These "imperfections" sure as heck weren't revealed to me upfront or I wouldn't have proceeded with this vehicle. I also have contacted SilverRock about 3 times (as well as Carvana) and SilverRock kept telling me they don't have information on my vehicle. I was told x3 that Carvana was sending it over to them and it took the repair center calling to actually get this accomplished. Who's dropping the ball at Carvana? The concept here is great but the customer service process has WAYS to go in my opinion. For me, next time I will likely buy locally and have much less stress.Read More2.7 OUT OF 5
- Robert Michael D.FEB 8, 20182015 Kia ForteRaleigh, NCI bought my 2015 Kia Forte 7 days ago. I went through the process on line and set a location and pickup date. I then made multiple calls throughout the week of pickup to confirm all was in order and good to go. I was told everything was set and good to go...24 hours before the pickup I was told that the vehicle was not documented properly and the delivery date was pushed back by 3 days. Two days before pickup I was informed I could drive to Maryland and pick it up in a Walmart parking lot; keep in mind I live in Raleigh and designated a pickup location at their Raleigh facility. I was never contacted to ask about this change prior to, and had to explain that I lived in Raleigh and hence why I requested the pickup at their Raleigh location. After multiple calls with multiple reps it was finally sorted out and the car was delivered on Wednesday January 31st for pickup around 6pm. I appreciate their efforts, but communication beforehand would have been appreciated given the number of calls and verification I had made during the process to ensure all was in order. The car was still dirty when I received it (window glass, inside had spill stains); I understand it is a used vehicle, but a once over with some Windex and a wet rag would have been appreciated as I wasn't buying this from a private seller. The car also came with no spare tire, no tire iron or car jack for the vehicle. Probably my oversight in not seeing that in the agreement/contract specifying those items would not be included. But not even a car tire iron to chuck the wheel loose in case of a flat? Maybe that's how they keep costs low, just something I've never experienced when buying a used car even from a private seller to not include at least a tire iron and car jack in case you have a flat. Customer service then stated all those items are not covered and would need to be paid out of pocket; no compensation for the multiple delays in delivery or credit offered. The guy at the Raleigh location was very nice and apologetic about the while affair and gave me a cup and a $15 Chili's card. My majority share if complaints deal with the corporate office and not the individual facility employees as they were the best part of this entire experience. Was told my 7 day period ended on the 6th day (picked it up Wednesday January 31st at 6pm) was told my trial ended February 6th at 5pm...that's 6 days. Informed them that a turn signal light was out on the vehicle and had to submit a diagnostic request from a certified mechanic to their coverage company silver rock. Once again, nothing offered in return for the coats (time and out of pocket expense) that would be incurred. If it was a month after the trail period I would not complain, but within the first week of ownership? Come on Carvanna... Would I buy from carvanna again? Maybe...as much as I dislike the process of buying a car from a dealership, I have never had so many issues with a traditional brick and mortar dealership like I did with Carvanna. Once again, my issues are more in line with their corporate customer service reps and operations...their actual facility personnel was the only redeeming aspect of the whole affair. Could I have refused the car at the end of the "6" day trial period...yes, but going through the hoops to draft a new loan, find another car, paperwork and being without a car during the work week would bear more costs then the headaches of just keeping the vehicle. The vehicle was and has been acceptable minus the turn signal bulb, dirty interior and lack of tire repair apperatus one would think as standard equipment in a car.Read More3.3 OUT OF 5
