- Jayse B.JUN 27, 20182015 FIAT 500eGreer, SCIt was refreshing having an experience that was different from a typical used car lot. What I really liked was that Carvana does a great job at automating all of the paperwork and sending you updates throughout the process. I also liked that I was able to get an electric vehicle in an area of the country that has trouble keeping up with progressive movements (South Carolina). The price and mileage were great and I was able to verify the battery was replaced recently due to the vehicle history report. So far customer service seems great, so we'll have to see if that continues. I would like to note that I think the pictures of the cars are brightened too much. I understand why they do this, from a marketing perspective but after receiving the car, I can tell the studio, camera, and filters are definitely more "ideal" than what you will see in the vehicle, even in sunlight. I think what I could have liked to see what just some good, non-edited shots of the vehicle, alongside the 360 view. I know I am buying a used car, so transparency can make a big difference here. The car I got ended up having a really great exterior, so no complaints there. The issues I had were in the interior. The car had a little bit of an odor - nothing really offensive but it was clear there was some freshener used to cover up something. I'll have to see what happens as the freshener wears off. They said it had no water damage and it wasn't smoke but it was just...odd. After the AC kicks on, it's not noticeable but I may have to take it to a shop again if a smell surfaces. Second, the interior was not cleaned very well. I took 5 baby wipes and the first two were literally dark gray with the amount of grime I got off the steering wheel and seats. They were leather, so I am not really concerned, but I can't believe the facility didn't do that beforehand. I ended up using an upholstery vacuum on the cloth parts as well. I have pictures of the baby wipes to post on Reddit to let other customers know what to expect. Third, I read a lot of reviews that said the cars sometimes scrape as they come off the truck. I mentioned this to my delivery driver, and he was like "Yeah that's not going to happen.". Sure enough, it scraped as it came off the truck. I got a video from it that I will post to Reddit so others can be aware. It didn't end up damaging anything but I am not sure what a customer can do to prevent this, especially on lower-sitting cars. Overall, I think this company is onto something. I would much rather have lots of choices and a service-oriented experience then to go from lot to lot trying cars and only have local stock.Read More3.7 OUT OF 5
- Treasure H.JAN 12, 20162014 Nissan XterraAustin, TXIt was easy to find the car. The financing offer was better than my credit union. A couple of things - they really low - balled the trade on value and when it was dropped off to me it was dirty and the tire pressure light was on. The sticker is mounted too high in the line of site and I don't know what to do about it. The undercarriage was crusted with dirt, tires were not cleaned, there were spots on the seat and gray hairs sticking to one of the seats. It makes a cricket noise when driving. I was told there would be 2 keys but I received only one and I have to get the second key and be reimbursed. There were spots of tar on the body one one side. I was very depressed when I got it and I don't think I'll do car buying this way again.Read More2.7 OUT OF 5
- Gabrielle W.JAN 23, 20172014 Mazda Mazda3Atlanta, GAAfter some time of thinking about getting a car I was preparing myself for the uncomfortable and intimidating process of going to a dealership. Doing research on people's positive reviews and sadly those horror stories that often time make or break a car buying experience.....even to that of family members car buying details I knew I didn't want to find myself in similar situations. Yet I was up for the challenge if necessary. The Carvana commercials have always been interesting. Could buying a car be this simple?! I recall one day predicting that I wanted to do that process of having a car delivered to my door. While nothing is perfect in this life I felt I may have found an interesting solution. Originally I bought a 2013 Kia Optima GDI. Black with gray interior. Quite excited about the entire process being this was my first car. After much paper work they eventually informed of when the car was going to be delivered to me. I recorded the process and was over the moon. Now no used car is perfect and eventually I got the car checked out. While the result was minor it was something I took majority serious. Not to mention the steering wheel could sometimes be hard to turn smoothly. Problematic if you will. To accelerate- the car would tend to stall a bit. Again while there's more problematic issues that cars can have who wants to find themselves needing to go fast but there's a delay. Thankfully, I was within the 7 day phase and could return the car. After much research on the site of what was going to be my replacement I saw this beautiful gray (it doesn't look gray....more turquoise/teal with gray mixed in) with all black interior. It was THE car....2014 Mazda 3 iTouring. I had never considered a Mazda but with help from my brother and additional research I knew this was the car for me. This is where this 2nd process gets interesting. The switching of the car wasn't as simple vs the first experience. Now I requested that this car be delivered as well and it's set up. Unfortunately the date and time that was set had to be rescheduled. The rep from Carvana called to inform that it wouldn't be delivered but I would have to go to the center and pick it up. So I thought ok no problem. Oh but the problem only gets more entertaining. They send a lyft to pick us up and the entire time I believe we will get the car and be on our way. Welp we get there and they inform myself and my brother that the car is not ready and that it didn't pass emissions. 2nd day of delay of not having my car. So at this point I'm not sure of what to think and become quite frustrated. Don't get me wrong I'm all about a process being done right but I've prepared myself out of my busy schedule more than once to then be told ok not today but another time. This could've been informed to me over the phone instead of coming all the way out there to be told to only look at the car and the inside of it but no car to drive. So we are informed that they would deliver the car the next day in the morning. They present us with $75 gift cards for the trouble and request an uber for us to be on our merry way. They set up the request to be delivered the next day in the morning. A very frigid Friday morning to be exact but it was worth seeing my new baby be taken off that truck. The pics don't do it justice in person. This car drives smooth, breaks are phenomenal and can I say the press to start/stop button is really cool. Overall the car is heavily tech savvy. It lets you know in the side mirrors that a car is next to you..a little alarm goes off a lot of the time. I will say that overall the process is great. People should try it. Even if it's once. The carvana staff are quite pleasant and patient. Would I advise switching a car out for another one...more than likely no. But do so at your own risk.Read More4.7 OUT OF 5
- Dominic E.JUN 22, 20172015 Nissan QuestCanton, GAThe transaction went relatively smoothly. However, the minivan wasn't necessarily as described. The lower portion of the front bumper had obviously been painted...I know because they left the masking tape on one of the fog lights with paint spray clearly visible. There are also more nicks, scratches, and dings than stated on the vehicle's info page. Nothing major, but if maybe Carvana should add a statement that "not all vehicle blemishes are shown here." Also, the supplied floor mats in the van did not match the interior. The van's info page said the interior was beige and beige floor mats were put into the vehicle. But the van's interior is actually GRAY...so...whoever put the beige/tan floor mats into the van and thought, "this matches the gray interior" is color blind or lazy. Carvana did nothing to help that situation...they just said the vehicle is as-is you can return it. The more severe issue is that the van's rotors were warped and vibrating/shuddering while braking. Carvana's response was...it must have passed the Carvana inspection so there's nothing we can do...you can return the van. Luckily, the warranty company they work with (Silver Rock) has much better customer service and the Nissan dealership I went to also has much better customer service than Carvana and they got together and the rotors were replaced with Silver Rock paying for them. All in all, the van is good and I got what I was looking for. It seems that once Carvana gets you into a car and takes your trade they don't care about you anymore...you can return it is their standard line and that is awful customer service. If you do buy a vehicle from them...don't bother contacting them for any kind of resolution because all they will say is, you can return the car. Just contact Silver Rock and whoever you're working with in auto service.Read More3.2 OUT OF 5
- Glendyle L.JUN 29, 20172013 Toyota HighlanderHendersonville, TNI love my 2013 Highlander limited (gray). The price was right, the buying process was easy - all done electronically and customer's services is A +. One suggestion have your proof of residency ready the latest/current month. It will be helpful if that was mentioned at the start. Excellent experience!Read More5.0 OUT OF 5

- Thomas D.MAR 31, 20172016 Kia SoulFort Worth, TXIt was a Tuesday and I knew it was time for my 17 year old pickup truck to go. I just wanted a small car that didn't have me sitting on the ground. That meant a Kia Soul and I wanted Titanium Gray. Didn't find what I wanted on the lots in my area so I went to the Carvana website. Not only did they have what I wanted, they had six to choose from. Choosing took longer than completing the purchase. The online paperwork makes the process fast and simple. The car was to be delivered Thursday between 4-5 pm. Antonio called me Thursday morning to say he had the car ready and could deliver it earlier if i liked. He had the car in my driveway by 12:30 pm. A few minutes to go over final paperwork and I had my car and Antonio left with the truck. Done! Everything should be this easy!Read More5.0 OUT OF 5
- Jennifer R.AUG 22, 20182016 Kia SorentoPhoenix, AZI bought last week and here are a few things that stood out: 1) Carvana had the color of my vehicle listed incorrectly. I knew before I decided to buy because I researched the carfax but it may have thrown others for a loop. 2) The website search seems a little awkward an buggy when you search for vehicles on a mobile device, especially if you try to add filters to narrow your search. 3) My credit union has a "partnership" with Carvana but outside of having to wait longer to pick my car up and having to speak to a specific representative -- there were no real benefits of the partnership....it would have been nice if Carvana offered some kind of incentive with a partnership (i.e., free shipping, 5% off the list price, etc.). 4) We were excited to try the vending machine and since we had to wait longer because of our credit union's "partnership" we rearranged busy schedules to make sure we brought our children along for the fun. Problem is, the day of delivery, I got a voicemail from a Carvana representative who located out of state stating the vending machine was broken so it would just be a regular curbside pick-up. It was too late to make other arrangements and we weren't given another option so we figured it is what it is. Luckily, and completely unbeknownst to us, the vending machine had been magically fixed by someone from Germany before we arrived. 5) My car was DIRTY -- and not just a little dirty -- every inch of the car was etched is hard water spots. It was so bad that the person assisting us contacted his manager while we were on a test drive and offered to reimburse us up to a certain dollar amount for a detail because "he was embarrassed" by the condition the car was in. The inside wasn't really clean either -- there are dust and grime everywhere -- they probably didn't notice, heck -- they didn't even notice that the car was dark gray instead of ebony black. I really appreciate the offer and will take them up on it but I wish that they had noticed how dirty and gross the car looked before they loaded it into the vending machine for us to pick up. There are a ton of car dealerships down the road, they could have easily had the car detailed...Instead, I will have to take time out of my busy schedule to take care of it and then I'll have to submit the paperwork and wait 7-10 business days to get reimbursed. 6) The car mats that were listed as included were missing -- I noticed it when I got home that night and to my dismay -- instead of being able to review the vehicle description/listing for the vehicle that I purchased, that info was no longer accessible online. Since their call center 3 hours ahead of my time zone, I figured I would submit an online email inquiry. A week later, I called in because I hadn't heard any responses only to find that the online request I submitted "wasn't received". The person at the call center helped me and I will receive car mats within 7-10 business days but I still don't have an answer as to why they weren't in the car....the way that things went when I called in almost made it seem like this was normal but nothing was ever really explained. Again, I am happy I am getting car mats but it's annoying that I had to call in to get them and that my original online question didn't go through. In the end, it was "easy" on the front end to purchase through because I didn't have to haggle pricing and/or deal with an on slot of pushy sales/finance people trying to upsell me at every turn BUT it wasn't a perfect experience and although they have provided service to "make things right" -- I am paying for the upfront ease but having to take time out of my day to take care of car detailing and calling in to get car mats that should have been in the vehicle when I bought it....All things that I would never think twice about if I purchased from a regular dealership.Read More2.7 OUT OF 5
- Lashondra Tamekia B.JUN 25, 20182015 Toyota AvalonDuncanville, TXSo, the car buying experience wasn't a bad one. The prices on vehicles are already set and I didn't have to worry about the "salesperson" part of it. Some of my vehicle's description showed incorrect. It said I had mirror sensors when it came out I really didn't. Also, Carvana, when you get the 360 view, tells you if there is damage to a particular vehicle by showing exclamation points. I wouldn't have know that unless I looked at the 360 view. It doesn't display the information anywhere else. I do like that once you put in your personal information they tell you right out how much your monthly payments would be so there is no gray area. When I picked up the car, the sales representative was cleaning it which I felt like that should have been done already. My car didn't come out of the vending machine and I didn't get a cool coin to insert and watch my car come down. I was sort of disappointed that I didn't get that experience, even as an adult. I was looking for that entire "car Vending machine" experience but it was nowhere close. The sales representative was nice though. The wait seemed a bit long which I don't really know why because I had literally completed everything prior to coming and I had all the requested things on demand so I don't know why I had to wait. I would buy a car from them again for the simple fact that you're not worrying about the sales person haggling you about pricing. I haven't gotten any registrations yet so I'm eager to see how easy or difficult my personalized tags transition over. I'm almost willing to bet there will be a problem, but we will see.Read More3.3 OUT OF 5
- John R.MAY 18, 20182016 BMW 4 SeriesKnoxville, TNI received my car a week ago and am overall quite pleased. Service was on-time and friendly. The minor aesthetic issues with the car were outlined accurately on the web page. I do have a couple of issues that I wish to pass on, as I believe that they are important to the Carvana business model: 1. Most of the optional equipment listing was accurate, but the car did not have a head-up display, which was clearly stated in the optional equipment listing. This is not a deal-breaker to me, but is annoying. When I agreed to purchase the vehicle, I was agreeing to equipment set as listed. It is important for these descriptions to be fully accurate. 2. The tire pressures when delivered did not match the stock specifications. In fact, they were not even consistent on the car. All of the tires were over-filled significantly, and all different. I had to correct this myself. It wasn't a big deal to do, but with the pressures as they were the ride quality was more harsh. Tire over-pressurization can be a safety issue, and this really should not have made it to a customer in this state. 3. The exterior color is not as listed. It was listed a mineral gray metallic. The actual color is Jatoba Brown. It's quite beautiful, and I actually like this better than the gray, but it should definitely be accurate in your listing. Decoding the VIN can help to get this and the other options listed more accurately. 4. One of the key fobs had a dead battery. I replaced it and confirmed functionality. 5. I only received notifications sporadically during the processing phase of the order. There was a time that I needed to re-sign my contracts, but didn't know that. The only reason that I found out was that I had looked up the order on the website and saw that action was needed. There should have been some e-mail or text to let me know so that I could deal with the issue expediently. Overall, the car is beautiful and a joy to drive. I'm thrilled and have a great time every time I drive it. thank you. JohnRead More4.7 OUT OF 5
