I'll be honest, i'm a amazon freak, so naturally when a friend of mine mentioned looking at Carvana and heard about his experience with it i had to see what it was all about. An wow, to be able to do everything from start to finish without ever having to set foot in the dealership is absolutely awesome. Everyone I talked to was super friendly and actually helpful with no pressure. I had tons of questions at first which were all answered by the advocates, the reservation went smooth, the car was ready for delivery quickly, and the scheduling process was simple. The delivery was great, we got to look over the car and make sure we were happy with it before the guy even left. After that we still had the 7 day window which is reassuring to know that if we found something with the car we just couldn't live with we could still call them up and return the car!
Now the 4 stars instead of 5, I wish there was a 4.5 stars, I couldn't give the full 5 mainly because when I reserved the car I used the VIN to lookup any recalls or field service needed, it showed an outstanding field service so I called carvana and they said it should be taken care of. After receiving the car I called the service department and the confirmed that it needed the field service and that it was to replace the old 2G modem with a newer one, so that meant that the remote functions on the car wouldn't work until the service was completed, and to make it worse the part was on back order with no known ETA from the vendor....so that's a bit frustrating that the field service repair wasn't done before delivery. Additionally after taking delivery i found a number of other things, primarily blemishes that weren't disclosed in the online preview which I considered enough that should have been listed, like scratches on the hood deep enough to feel, a number of chips on the hood and front bumper, and a spot on the fender where the pain was peeling off on one corner, all should have been caught easily during an inspections and more significant than the ones that were actually listed. I also found some other mechanical issues that are covered by bumper to bumper warranty. So long story that's why it's a 4 instead of 5 rating.
All in all I'm still happy with the car and decided to keep it, the blemishes I've attempted to touch up on my own, and luckily the items that need service are still in the bumper to bumper manufacture warranty.
