Before I rate my experience with Carvana, my remarks have nothing to do with the product. The 2016 Chevrolet Silverado truck was delivered in perfect condition. The truck was exceptionally very clean, polished and engine compartment fluids look fresh. Delivery was on time as promised, however the truck broke down, the tilt bed was inoperative. Delivery was on Friday March 30th. Mr. Jeffery was very thorough in explaining all features and warranty etc.
My problem is with purchase. I opened an account with Carvana in my name and was given all the information about the procedure of e-transfer of funds from my account to Carvanna. I had no problem with this, but when I told Carvana that the truck was a gift for my son e-transfer was not available. Carvana now wanted a certified check. This was no problem, I obtained the check and sent a scan copy with my son's license as requested. When I went to finalize the deal and set a delivery date, I was told that the registration must have my name and my son's name on the registration. I told the rep that this was totally unacceptable and we may cancel. Anthony saves the deal, I was put on hold for a short time and he responded with good news that only my son's name will be on the registration. I was getting mixed messages from other representatives. I sense that there may be a system problem when purchasing a vehicle as a gift. All advocates were very helpful and pleasant, but Anthony seems to be a cut above the team.
