- John H.JUN 9, 20172014 Honda AccordAustin, TXI've always been a Honda guy, and after deciding to move on from my old Honda Pilot I started looking for the right Accord to fit my expectations. I found what I wanted and went to the Honda dealer that I bought my previous to cars from. They didn't have exactly what I wanted but they had something close... for only a few thousand more. We entered a negotiation phase, which surprised me since I had never had to do this at this particular dealer before. I eventually walked away. They gave me a write-up for a possible lease deal, and after doing the math myself I realized it was downright exploitative. I was done with them after this. I looked around at other dealers within a three hour drive but was worried about getting the same run-around at each of them. I was also worried about finding out that their inventory had changed after I drove all the way there and the car I wanted to see was gone. You can probably guess how this story ends. I looked online, found Carvana, I liked what I saw. The pictures of the actual car are excellent. They even point out the scratches for you. The car I looked at and picked online was the exact car that they delivered to me. While it would be nice to negotiate the price lower, the listed price is fair. the new car was spotless when I picked in up. The Carvana rep was awesome (Carvana, you should give James in Austin a bonus). He competently evaluated my trade-in, and we processed the paperwork as efficiently as possible. The only drawbacks I had were that 1. the coin-slot in the giant vending machine was broken so I didn't get the full novelty experience, and 2. there was no owners manual for my car (not uncommon when buying a used car).Read More5.0 OUT OF 5

Buying a car online was so far outside my comfort zone. In fact, I had no intention of doing just that. I was price comparing for when I did my "dealership tour" that morning. Bottom line, Carvana had a better selection, better pricing, better financing, and let's face it I did it all in my pj's. How relaxing is that! I had a couple of questions and the customer service rep was knowledgeable AND friendly (and in the USA for those of us that care about that sort of thing). She got me straightened out right away. The guys at my local location, here in Austin, couldn't have been better. Everything happened as stated and planed. A big plus in my book. Thank you Carvana! My questions were answered with politeness and with a smile. Though there was a delay with the delivery of my vehicle Carvana made my day the next day with a surprise call from Mr. Thomas informing me that the delivery of my car was within the hour. He came on time and was very patient and answered all my questions.B/c of the delay of the delivery of my vehicle from the original scheduled time,Carvana gave me an additl $150.00 for the inconvenience of this matter. Even with that discount, I was able to find a car of the same year, color, and model for a lower price and with fewer miles. Carvana gives the complete upfront price, the upfront price was less than what the dealerships were advertising, before the dealerships even added on taxes and other fees. Yes I was hesitant buying a car online, I was paying in cash so dropping almost 16k via the same method that I order replacement earbuds was a bit concerning. However, customer support was phenomenal. Austin Rojas was the person who delivered my vehicle and he did a great job answering all my questions. The 7 day no questions asked no cost return policy is a great peace of mind. Overall, I highly recommend Carvana. I was able to surprise my mom with a wonderful car that has no issues (I had it inspected at an independent dealership within the 7 day period), and they even put a bow on it for me and sent me a hand written letter. I actually went with her to pick her car up from the South Austin location. They had her car in the little dispense machine and had her drop a big gold coin into a slot that would then bring her car all the way down to the ground near us. Her car was spotless! The guy working there at the time handed my mom a card with gas money on it and to her surprise there was also another gas card stuck inside the part of the car where you put your gas in. Everything was great, witch is why i decided to go with Carvana. My experience however was nowhere near the same. I got there, the machine that brings the car down to you was "broken" and the guy said "But I can still put it up there if you want me to" and then laughed a little bit. I told him that was fine I just wanted my car. The car was brought up to the front of the building and it was DIRTY! There was dirt all on the outside like the car had been driven recently and never cleaned. The inside, there was dirt in the carpet and hair and spots on my seats in the back. There was even MUD in my trunk!!!!!!! (The Carvana guy grabbed a rag and wiped some of the mud out of my trunk.) Also a big stain on the top near my sun visor. Who wants to take home a DIRTY car after spending so much money to get it? The Bluetooth was not working, so I had to wait while the Carvana guy googled a way to try and fix it.... (He did get it working before I left.) The man offered me a gift card or check to be mailed out to me so I could go myself and get the car cleaned. (I still have not received or heard anything about that.) The XM radio was working while I test drove the car but completely disconnected as soon as I pulled off the lot. That was strange. I DID NOT RECEIVE A GAS CARD FROM THE GUY HELPING ME AT CARVANA. There was a $10 gas card in my gas tank area, when i go to try and activate the card it says IT CANNOT BE ACTIVATED. I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY TYPE OF GAS CARD WHEN PRIOR CUSTOMERS GET 2???? My over all experience was horrible and not the same treatment as my mom, a prior customer received.Read More2.3 OUT OF 5

Maybe by the time I'm ready to purchase my next car there will be. Everyone at Carvana that I either spoke with over the phone or met at the vending machine location in Austin were friendly, helpful, professional, knowledgeable and patient. I've only had two previous car buying experiences, both were at Saturn dealerships where there was no haggling or getting manager approval for the best price. So, buying a car from Carvana felt very much the same; it was enjoyable from beginning to end. I bought the car for cash and had no trade-in. The car's description, including all the pictures of scratches and dings, was accurate. The car's condition when I picked it up was clean inside and out, and it didn't have any smoke smell that I was worried a rental resale would have. They were running behind when I arrived at the scheduled time, but got it loaded into the vending machine as I signed some papers and was ready when I finished. I was offered a test drive, but only looked it over before signing the contract...since I was going to take it to my mechanic and take advantage of the 7-day return policy if needed. The car only had one "smart key", but the SilverRock warranty covered the cost of creating a second smart key. The Toyota service manager was impressed by this coverage. There was even a note put on my file indicating a new smart key was covered. I had this done on the sixth day after purchasing when I knew I was going to keep the car (and to make sure all the paperwork was in SilverRock's system). My mechanic says I got a great car...and with brand new tires, too! I would do it all over again. The phone calls and email from Carvana were polite and helpful. I had this car saved in my garage for awhile and kept comin back to it. then I just went out on the limb and bought it! all phone help was excellent. they answered all my questions I had. The guy who delivered my smart was super nice. man couldnt have been better. I was asleep, phone rang, woke up, went down, and car. could not have been easier. There were 2 minor things with the plastic trim on the inside I pointed out. not a big deal. I showed the carvana guy and he gave me my evelope and showed me all my stuff. said that could easily be fixed free of charge (the warranty wasnt even extra, came with tha car). took it in to mercedes and sure enough, they said 'oh you're covered we'll pop a new piece on and pop a new piece on that and work is covered under a mercedes warranty.' anyway car is perfect. those minor things that are getting fixed were the only imperfection. I didnt even find the scuffs they mentioned on the site. it looks brand new. its a 2013. also happy they're building the car vending machine in austin. will definitely buy again. i dont owe much on my smart, only $6200 n my note is only $128 a month .. im definitely gettin a 2016 redesign once i get mine paid offRead More5.0 OUT OF 5
