- Janice C.APR 15, 20172015 Nissan AltimaForest City, NCWhy do dealerships have an internet dept? I have tried on numerous occasions to contact dealerships via email and all they would ever tell me was "Lets make an appointment and you come in." Well to me that's not informative. I could have done that on my own. Well after buying with Carvana, all these dealerships need to do away with there internet dept because they have no clue how to even begin to sale a car online. I have been looking at Carvana for a while. I would find a car I liked but would chicken out about doing anything because I couldn't believe this process was real. Well 4/9/17 I decided what the heck. Try it, see what happens and I did and I have to say it was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. Applied for financing, approved. Just like that. All paper work was signed online. Chose the time for delivery and that was that. I even called customer service and asked if this was for real and they told me "yes, I had just bought a car online." Gave me instructions on where to send proof of insurance and told me what to expect when the car arrived, which was on time, and was exactly how they said it would be. Had a few papers to sign at delivery, odometer statement, title transfer, and a couple other papers and that was it. It was delivered on 4/12/17 and the Carvana associate who brought was just as nice as she could be. As for the condition of the car, it was wonderful. I know some say they couldn't buy without seeing it first but those pictures and views of the car are point on and with a 7 day test drive with 100% money back guarantee, how could you loose. I don't know about you, but I have never bought a car at a dealership and was told I could bring it back within 7 days if I didn't like it or was dissatisfied and get my money back. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would definitely do it again. Thanks Carvana!!Read More5.0 OUT OF 5
- Christopher W.NOV 10, 20162014 Dodge Grand CaravanVilla Rica, GAFirst off there's not enough time or space to write how satisfied and thrilled i am for this company. If i could put it into just 3 words it would be 1. INEXPENSIVE 2. TRUSTWORTHY 3. DEPENDABLE ...and a million more other great things. All i can say is who ever came up with this company deserves to be president of these United States of American!Read More4.8 OUT OF 5
- Richard S.JAN 2, 20172013 MINI PacemanLake Worth, FLSo, I'm looking to buy a fun car for myself. I have a specific make and model so I begin to hunt for it. I visit some local used car places, but selection is slim and sales pitches are plentiful. I look to the web to expand my buying choices in hopes of finding my little car. All the dot coms I could think of, Ebay, Cars, Autotrader etc... Then I searched on Craigslist and found a car close enough to what I was looking for so I investigated further. I read that it is being sold buy Carvana, so I go straight to the Carvana website and start to poke around. Sure enough there is the car I had seen on Craigslist along with several other very awesome choices. I had a field day picking out my new little fun car. Then it hit me, I am buying a car sight unseen over the web. I could just see my grandfather's face telling me I am crazy. Or that the car was someone else' lemon that would become some sort of money pit. Like most, I started to research this Carvan car dealer. I searched the internet for complaints, read several reviews of prior purchases. I even purchased my own VIN check. All looked good so I jumped in.The process was as easy as described on the website. Finance rate was better than any other offers out there. Carvana even beat the CarMax estimate by $500 bucks. The new car was under manufactures warranty which was a big plus! I figured with the 7 day 100 mile test period and no off putting record history on the car I was pretty much covered if i felt the deal was not for me. I couldn't be happier with the car. Like some I did have to wait on my new tags. I elected to surrender an old vanity plate for a new one which added to the turn time. It was no big deal as the temp tag the Carvana associate placed on my new car was much better than a taped piece of paper stuck to the bumper. The temp was an embossed state seal temp tag that adhered to a nice Carvana logo plate. I was not worried in the least that the new tag would not arrive and sure enough, 2 weeks after the second temp tag was delivered my permanent plate did arrive. I now have an awesome car that I definitely could not have found locally. It is quite cool to have a one of a kind car in the neighborhood. I would absolutely do it again. The saddest thing about the process of buying a car on the internet is that it find of ruins it for anything else that gets delivered after.Read More5.0 OUT OF 5
- Aaron H.DEC 2, 20162013 Kia SoulNashville, TNThe process of buying my Kia from caravana was pretty easy and smooth. I did have some issues. First, I was told to fill out and sign my contract before I came in to buy the car. I did, but when I got there, they made me do it again. Frustrating. Then, when I looked over the new car I was buying, I noticed the coolant levels were very low. Way under the low level. Shouldn't they fill it before I buy It? They asked me if I still wanted to buy the car. Lastly, I thought I got an additional 200$ off for picking up the car instead of having it delivered. Not sure where I heard that but I don't think I got the discount. Staff was friendly and so far car is great. -other than the fact I had to fill my new car immediately with coolant.Read More3.8 OUT OF 5
- David L.OCT 17, 20162014 Chevrolet VoltHutto, TXThe car is great! Carvana needs some improvement. I added 3 similar 2014 Chevy Volts to my "garage" and after about a week I went through the steps to purchase it but stopped where it asked me to upload a scan of my insurance and driver license. The car was not exactly what I wanted so I stopped the process for another week then found the perfect car on 10-9-16 and continued with the purchase all the way through. I spoke to Carvana several times for about a week and the car was scheduled to be delivered on Saturday 10-15-16. Since the Chevy Volt is an electric car with a range extending gasoline generator I asked if the battery would be fully charged and both advocates that I talked to said they would request that in my account notes. About 3 days before the delivery my credit union contacted me with the loan information that I was to e-sign online but when I read the VIN I saw that it was the other car that I never finished the process with and what was really weird is that my loan officer setup the loan for BOTH cars! I was finally able to get the loan setup for the right car and everything seem good at that point. On Saturday morning about 3 hours before my car was to be delivered, I called Carvana to make sure the battery was charged and I wanted to know the status of the car. She told me that ALL electric cars at Carvana get a full charge then she put me on hold to try and find the driver delivering my car which she was not able to do. About an hour later and 30 minutes before the car was scheduled to be delivered I received a call from the driver. He told me he was just a few miles away and could be at my house soon. He arrived right on time and the car looked great! What was not so great was that the battery was almost empty. He apologized for this blaming it on someone else. I was in the process of installing a Level 2 charger anyway so it was no big deal and I knew I could use the included slow 120 VAC charger in the meantime. The test drive was great and the driver loaded up my trade in and we filled out paperwork. After he left, I went to charge the car using the slow charger but the ground plug was bent and broke off when I tried to plug it in. I found out the car with not accept a charge from an ungrounded charging cable so I had to use the car on generator power until I setup my Level 2 charger. Once that was working I charged the car in 4 hours and enjoyed driving it in pure electric mode for almost 40 miles. The only other complaint I have is the condition of the inside of the vehicle. It was not cleaned very well and the inside of the windshield and all windows with foggy looking from not being clean. I was able to clean them myself but when you pay $17K for a used car from a dealer, you expect it to be clean. The last call to Carvana they told me to take the broken charger to the nearest Chevy dealer and let them decide if it is covered under warranty. I my self could easily repair the cable but I should not have to so I am going to let Carvana figured out what to do next.Read More3.3 OUT OF 5
- Rebecca W.NOV 15, 20162014 Scion tCAustell, GAI had the most amazing experience with purchasing a car through Carvana. Where other car places were pushy and horrible, driving me nuts to get whatever they can out of me, Carvana let me browse on my own time at my own pace and never tried to talk me into anything. They dropped off the car and let me test drive it without being pushy, checked up to see how I liked the car after 6 days, and when we had computer issues with signing the contract were extremely kind to me through the process and waited for me to return from vacation to workout the kinks we were having. Loved the whole process and love love my car! The price was excellent and so was the car.Read More5.0 OUT OF 5
- James M.JAN 6, 20172012 Chrysler Town and CountryMckinney, TXLet me start off by saying that I like Carvana, the idea of not dealing with a dealership and I would use Carvana again. But it's only fair to be honest in my feedback so there are some concerns I have. One, there were some issues with my purchase. Delivery date had to be changed, warranty company changed and Carvana thought I was trading a car in but wasn't. Each of these issues caused me to have to resign my contracts. I signed them 4 times. Two, I received conflicting emails. I would get emails saying "all is good" followed with "please call us" and once I called they didn't know why I was told to call. Three, once I made my purchase there was no initial confirmation email. So I ended up calling Carvana a couple days later to make sure all was good. Four, the advertised timeline for car delivery was misleading. I believe the car I bought said I could receive in as little as 5 days but it took 13 days from purchase to delivery. Five, the detailing of the car missed some key spots. I had to clean the interior of the car after delivery because there was some kind of film all over the car and some areas were ignored completely. I also changed out the in cabin air filter. I was extremely gross. It was dark brown and covered in leaves, receipts and other junk. How would that have been overlooked? I also replaced the blower motor because it was overworked and covered in debris as well. So why do I like Carvana? I believe it was a good deal. Even with the issues I had, I have had similar issues at dealerships but I still saved a ton of time. All in all I am happy with my purchase but I do believe they have some details to iron out to the best they can be.Read More4.0 OUT OF 5
- Philip K.DEC 3, 20162013 Volkswagen BeetleHouston, TXOther than the really terrific Carvana website and the helpful & knowledgeable Carvana telephone staff my first face-to-face contact with Carvana was the afternoon that the unwashed delivery truck arrived with my new dirty car. It was a disappointing experience. Even though the driver came bearing gifts, my displeasure at seeing how poorly the car had been "detailed" was greater than any delight I may have received from the gifts. The website talks about the cost that Carvana bears to detail each car. With the exception of the terrific appearance of the engine bay I found dirty windows, dirty hard plastic interior surfaces and dirty mats and carpet. I can't decide if Carvana employees "planted" the disgustingly scented air fresheners under the front seats or if the "detailers" just missed them when they "detailed" the interior. It appeared that the car had gotten a local $12 carwash instead of a detail job. The price on the car was very fair. Completing my order on the website was painless and fast. Carvana telephone staff are top-notch and I have already recommended the company to many acquaintances with the caveat that the car may arrive in unclean and smelly condition. Obviously not all Carvana employees are car peopleRead More3.8 OUT OF 5
- William F.FEB 21, 20172016 Subaru OutbackMcdonough, GAWould give customer service a 5 BUT we purchased a 2016 Subaru Outback with 6400 miles on it. Love the vehicle but NO sound from the radio which was NOT in the info from Carvana about the vehicle. It wasn't a deal breaker because it was all covered under manufacturer warranty. BUT I had to spend time off work to get it fixed! Carvana should have already fixed something under a "dealer" warranty or at least been upfront about it. When I called Silverrock about it , they sent me to a radio specialist that they did not have a contract with so I would have had to pay up front. Luckily the radio guy didn't charge me, was able to say in fact that there were no "after market" tampering and sent me on to the dealer. Of course dealer had to order amplifier which meant a second trip. Carvana offered an extra day past the 7 day return because no dealer had an appointment available within the 7 day return time frame.( Although it did take 14 days to completely fix) Again love the vehicle, had it checked completely by the dealer as I did not get any maintenance records (other than an oil change sticker on the window), and wanted to be sure all was in order which did cost me $120. Luckily all is fixed now with no other expense. If you buy from them do your research, have knowledge of what you are buying and have an appointment with a dealer before the 7 day return is up is my best advice.Read More4.2 OUT OF 5
- John H.JUN 9, 20172014 Honda AccordAustin, TXI've always been a Honda guy, and after deciding to move on from my old Honda Pilot I started looking for the right Accord to fit my expectations. I found what I wanted and went to the Honda dealer that I bought my previous to cars from. They didn't have exactly what I wanted but they had something close... for only a few thousand more. We entered a negotiation phase, which surprised me since I had never had to do this at this particular dealer before. I eventually walked away. They gave me a write-up for a possible lease deal, and after doing the math myself I realized it was downright exploitative. I was done with them after this. I looked around at other dealers within a three hour drive but was worried about getting the same run-around at each of them. I was also worried about finding out that their inventory had changed after I drove all the way there and the car I wanted to see was gone. You can probably guess how this story ends. I looked online, found Carvana, I liked what I saw. The pictures of the actual car are excellent. They even point out the scratches for you. The car I looked at and picked online was the exact car that they delivered to me. While it would be nice to negotiate the price lower, the listed price is fair. the new car was spotless when I picked in up. The Carvana rep was awesome (Carvana, you should give James in Austin a bonus). He competently evaluated my trade-in, and we processed the paperwork as efficiently as possible. The only drawbacks I had were that 1. the coin-slot in the giant vending machine was broken so I didn't get the full novelty experience, and 2. there was no owners manual for my car (not uncommon when buying a used car).Read More5.0 OUT OF 5
